What would you recommend?

I'm not sure whether to get a manual or electric breast pump.

What would you girls recommend?

i would love to know aswell! it takes a lot of organisation to do both breastfeeding and expressing so i would say the electric as it would be quicker? also it depends on how long you want to breastfeed i suppose. the manual may be more cost effective if you're not planning on doing it for long.

I'm hoping to get an electric one, as I don't think I could be bothered to sit and pump manually I imagine it would be must faster too!

Yeah I was thinking electric as I'm looking to do it for a while and it would be faster than sitting there pumping myself lol but then I thought what if the manual one really hurts me breast as I wont really be in control if that makes sense

Deffinetaly electric!! Madela is the best kind to use, they last forever and the suction is strong and not painful. A double pump is also best,I had a single pump with my first baby and I'd have one boob leaking as the other one was being pumped and I'd clog up and be in so much pain no fun lmao. Goodluck on picking out your pump!!

I got a manual one. Only because I'm not sure how long I'll be using it and also because it was far cheaper than an electric one. I've got a tommee tippee one xx

I have both manual and electric, and as strange as it sounds I always found the manual one got milk out more easily than the electric and was easier to clean and the manual didn't give me sore nipples cos I controlled the pumping, but I'd say if you're going to express alot, buy an electric one cos they are much faster and more efficient. Both of mine are Tommee Tippee ones.
