advice please ladies :(

So today I've been being non stop sick. All day. Can't keep anything down even water and I was even sick in the middle of the floor at work

I'm worried as this can't be safe for the baby? I've also got bad cramping in my lower abdo and terrible back ache, although I think this is from heaving. Any advice? I feel exhausted and weak and don't know what to do anymore!

it sounds like you have severe morning sickness, i had this and was the same as you, couldn't keep water down. i was told by family and friends to find a fizzy drink without caffeine in, i chose apple tango and it managed to settle my stomach slightly. if i were you, i would call the midwife/GP if you can't keep ANYTHING down and they could recommend some medication that is safe to take during pregnancy.

When I had bad MS I found the only thing that settled my stomach was soda-water, I mixed it with a bit of juice for flavour. Trying to stay hydrated is really important, but very hard.

I have just had some apple tango, and came straight back up! however i am now getting hard lumps of something coming up too, which feels like gravel in my mouth. I'm starting to worry now as this is my first bit of actual sickness I've had apart from nausea.

Also, my friends not helping as she's telling me to ring a&e as she had to go in on a drip when she was 9weeks due to dehydration. How do you know when you are dehydrated?

Sound pretty severe to me, but you'll soon know when you're dehydrated. Have you tried ice cubes? I used to suck them when I had morning sickness, helped to get something into me without making me sick again. Oh and cups of tea were my saviour!
Try plain biscuits as well. Being sick is horrible but its something you have to grin and bare. I had ms from week 6 to 16 wasn't nice at all, but its worth it once your through it.
If you're worried don't hesitate to speak to your midwife, better safe than sorry. Hope you feel better soon!

I had severe morning sickness to the point my doctor had to prescribe me anti-sickness tablets. I found that eating a plain slice of toast, as soon as I got out of bed, really helped. It was disgusting, especially with no butter on, but seemed to ease my sickness. Might be worth a try?

My Grandma always tried to force feed me ginger biscuits. Apparently they're good to settle your stomach? I wouldn't know because I never tried them as I hate ginger biscuits! Lol xx

Try keep fluids up to prevent getting dehydrated. If you or someone else can get to a chemist they usually sell electrolyte balancing drinks and iceblocks. Ice is really helpful as it tends to soothe the stomach. I had/have really bad m/s but am on anti-nausea which makes a bit easier.

If you haven't been able to keep anything down or very little down for more than 12hrs I'd being calling your midwife, going to emergency and getting on a.drip to rehydrate, it'll make you feel so mugh better and they should.be able to give you some anti-nausea meds.

Hope you feel better soon hun, I know how crappy it is!!

So last night i spent a few hours in the hospital. They checked for a UTI as i had a temperature, and also checked blood pressure etc. I was given anti sickness medicine and also some to take home and yay I haven't thrown up for over 7hours now so seems to be working! Apple tango and rich tea biscuits are definitely doing the job!

Thanks girls!
