sleeping arrangements with LO

we've done a nursery out for LO but i was planning to put a moses basket in my room for him for the first few months (so i can keep an eye on him)

MIL asked about these arrangements and when i told her she went mad at me + told me i was doing it all "wrong" and that i shouldn't let him sleep in a moses basket. it should either be a cot or a crib but i've already bought him a cot and didn't want to fork out for a crib he probably won't be in two seconds

you can probably tell she irritates me enough as it is... but i thought letting him sleep in his moses basket until he was ready to go into his cot was pretty acceptable?

It is sweetie. Ignore what your MIL says, you know what's best for you and LO.

That is what I intend to do, so ignore her! She's just trying to have control and its really none of her business where and what LO sleeps in, especially as he'll be at your house! xx

My LO sleeps in her moses basket and im planning on putting her into her cot when she sleeps through the night so I dont have to be up every hour or so putting her dummy back in her mouth , her moses basket is right beside my bed and her cot would be at the end of the bed, so its easier when shes a newborn for me to check on her when shes fussing when shes right beside me. Trust me the moses basket is great! When she falls asleep in it downstairs we just lift it up to bed

not having to disturb her! x

Completely acceptable. Don't listen to her, every mum has a slightly different way of doing things, do what's right for you.

kaiden and i will be sharing a room but until he is sleeping well he will be sleeping in the yellow thing that will be next to my bed

At the end of the day its your decision as the mother

I'm having my LO in a moses basket before I put him in a cot too and I imagine a lot of people do, so just ignore her
