we have this GIANT piggy bank that we got at our baby shower for Jax but we have it for both boys and then when its full they can split the money and buy something special! we also have a tiny piggy bank that DH gives Aiden his pocket change out of and he puts it in there every night and when it fills up we have cashed it in (usually like 30$) we take him to walmart and get a new toy lol

my grandparents bought savings bonds for Aiden for holidays like birthdays and christmas, and they plan to do that with Jax too, and those are going into the bank until they mature and earn extra and then they can go towards cars or college or first home or something like that...they did the same thing for me when i was little like until i was 5 and it ended up being over a 1,000$ by the time i cashed them in and i spent them on my wedding dress probably could have gone towards something better but I wanted to be a princess for a day

If any of you are in Canada I highly recommend looking into RESP accounts for your babies when they are born. The government will match your contribution (to a yearly max) when you open a registered educations savings account in your child's name

OH throws his change into Finn's piggybank. We've never counted it.

Finn is the owner of coins that value about $2,000 (gold/silver coins. one is from my grandparents. I'm still peeved they gave it to him and now me.). They're in a safe but I'm thinking we may want to take out a bank vault.
