What age did you LO start to appreciate trips out?

We look him to the park and petting zoo on Sunday and he loved the swings but wasn't too interested in the animals. I wanna start taking him places as there aren't any baby groups near us but don't know what he'd like.

When did you first take you LO to:

-Soft play
-Zoo
-Aquarium
-Places like Gulliver's World

Oh and any suggestions of places he might like would be appreciated!

Softplay -She could enjoy from crawling I'd say
Zoo - We haven't yet, we planned for her first birthday but the weather was horrendous and after that we just never got round to it. She'd LOVE it now though as she loves any animals.
Aquariums - There's none around here but I'd say from maybe 8 or ten months as I'd imagine all the bright colours would really capture they're attention and stimulate senses.

At five/ six months we didn't really take her to many places because she just wasn't bothered by them. We'd take Summer swimming at that age, to the park (she'd lie on the grass and watch the sky). Nothing too exciting because until about a year I'd say she was just as happy surrounded by toys ect, once she started walking at ten months she showed a definite interest in new places though.

Soft play was crawling. He loves them even more now he can walk.
We took him to the zoo at 8 months and he loved it! Not so much the fact he couldn't touch the animals though
Aquarium we took him from 4 months. He's got 3x a month since then (we have annual passes) and he gets excited every time. He loves the fishes swimming and likes to 'touch' them (hit the glass)
We will probably take him to Paultons Park (and peppa pig world) when he's 2.5/3 as he will be able to go on rides.

Aquarium is one of highly recommend if you can, ours has cheap annual passes and Max gets in free- also we love soft plays and parks- he loves the swings!

Thanks! We're taking him to Blackpool Sealife Centre tomorrow, hopefully he'll enjoy it

Kind of limited with your options in winter aren't you? I think he'd like swimming as bath time is his absolute favourite but I'm way too self conscious to go near a pool myself and OH can't swim.

-Soft play - As soon as she could crawl really, she loves watching other kids play even now so from a young age she's loved it.
-Zoo - Went to the zoo on holiday and she was 5 months, I wouldn't say she 'enjoyed it' she didn't really have a clue, went again at 18 months and she loved it!

Do you live near the coast? He'll probably really enjoy playing in the sand when it's a bit warmer, or getting some wellies and going in the sea if he's walking.

Yeah I do, but it is all rocks. There is no sand here Maybe paddling though, but it is never very warm here.
