I don't have any experience with it but when you start weaning you can start with most foods, it doesn't have to be rice. Things like avocado and pear are great. If you do go with the rice then it's six months and mix it with milk like the others said

I have to agree with Daphne here,

Its like a hell of a lot easier for you to just wait till 6 months and BLW. Fair enough LO get into a bit of a mess but, its all part of the fun

BLW is a great alternative to regular spoon feeding. I spoonfed my LO starting from 6 months onwards and it was such a hassle, we did baby led weaning and it's amazing. You can google it and you'll find loads of positive stories about it.

Yeah, it really is best to wait until 6 months. We did BLW with Evelyn and we'd make baby friendly food and she'd have a bit of whatever we ate. Yes, it was messy but that's part of the fun. There are lots of reasons to promote BLW but one of them is that you don't have to deal with their gag reflex moving backwards at around ten months. Evelyn was confident with most solid foods by then so it didn't matter.

Wait untill 6 months and BLW

Do some research on putting rice in a bottle, its a serious choking hazard and unless recommended by a doctor, shouldn't ever be done

If you really want her to have rice, wait untill 6 months, then bowl and spoon it

"A bit messy"? I spend twenty minutes after each meal cleaning bits of cheese and raspberries off of the wall

I know the feeling!
I spend more time cleaning it up than she does eating it
