When did your LO get used to day & night?

Im so ready for mine to sleep all night idk what else to do.
He will sleep all day and then at about 12 am he'll wake up every two hours despite sometimes the fact i have fed him and changed him he wants more food.
I be trying to sleep while he sleep during the day but im not used to it.
I be wanting to cry some mornings because i'll lay up holding him at 5 am thinking im doing all this for a guy that doesn't want to be with me anymore & still acting like an asshole!
Apart of me hopes when he goes back for court he gets a long time in jail!!
Anyways, how long did it take for your LO to get used to it?? Did you do anything special?? Any advice??

what do you mean, you're doing it for some guy who doesnt care? surely you're up holding him allnight because your his mumma?
and he's brand new - they need to eat a lot at that age, finlay was attached to me pretty much 24/7 untill he was a good few weeks old.
just try to keep the curtains open and lots of light in the day and keep it dark and quiet at night, it will eventually even out, hes only tiny though some little ones don't sleep through for a long long time.

alexis got use to it at about a month..i had to wake her up threw out the day and keep her attention...it was hard but i figured out that at night if i got upset she wouldn't sleep well at all.so stay calm during the night when he don't want to sleep it may help.

I never really noticed, I was able to nap when Bee did during the day and then I had her in my bed with me at night on a pretty constant nurse to comfort her... So it could've been any time really. I'm tempted to say that she always knew - she only ever woke up at night to nurse and then straight back to sleep, whereas during the day she'd have a few periods of "alert time"

I suggested to my friend to take her son out more during the day (she didn't want to because she wanted to try and sleep, but she didn't do that anyway). Also told her that babywearing meant he would have to be up in the busy world instead of tucked away in his pram, which is basically a bed with wheels tbh... The usual things like keep it louder and brighter in the day and quieter and darker at night.

That's how I first took it, but I think she may mean FOB... That he doesn't share night duties or something, I'm not entirely sure....

its weird as i was jus speaking about this, my LO is two months old now, she seemed to be unsettled the way you described for about 3 weeks. she'd literally stay awake til 5 in the morning and wouldnt be put down without crying
i felt like it would always be that way because of how physically tired i was but it really doesnt last forever!
In my opinion people go on about routine but Lily has masnaged to get herself in her own routine now, he will go to sleep about 7 and wont wake to be fed til 3, then she will wake about 7
We ended up putting her on hungry baby milk by 3 weeks old because she'd drink bottle after bottle and shed constantly be waking, as long ss its from birth i dont see why its not practical if your baby seems to be having alot it honestly helped lily alot
believe me your LO will get there XX

I honestly don't remember a time when she didn't sleep at night, but im sure there was one

I cant really offer any advice, I co-slept from the offset so she was always a bit calmer, and i BF so i literally just rolled it out and went back to sleep....But i can say that it doesn't last forever and whilst you are feeling down now, your LO is very very tiny, and things will get into a bit more of a "routine" soon x x
