Early. I delivered at 38 weeks 2 days ANY COMPLICATIONS?: None. YOU ARRIVED AT THE HOSPITAL HOW FAR DILATED & EFFACED?: 100 % effaced, 6 cm dilated. LABOR ACTIVITIES (DURING CONTRACTIONS): Uhmm nothing? I was screaming and crying and filling out paper work until I finally had my epidural haha. HOURS IN LABOR: 4. CONTRACTIONS FELT LIKE: Death. DID YOU CONSIDER THE EPIDURAL?: Oh hell yeah! I wanted to see if I could handle it at first but yeahh, I couldn't handle it lol WERE YOU INDUCED?: Nope. DESCRIBE DELIVERY: Very easy. I just picked my legs up, pushed 3 or 4 times and boom, she was here WHERE WAS YOUR PARTNER?: Right next to me WEIGHT/HEIGHT OF THE BABY: 6 lbs 13 oz. 20 inches long Pregnancy . . . PLANNED OR SURPRISE?: BIG SURPRISE! FIRST SYMPTOMS (IF ANY): Uhh dizzy, moody, tired, headache, missed period. HOW DID YOUR PARTNER REACT TO THE NEWS?: He was very quiet. Lol WHEN WERE YOUR BABY'S FIRST MOVEMENTS?: I'd say like 18 or 19 weeks ANY PREGNANCY PAINS?: Braxton Hicks? A couple leg cramps and sickness! Bleh. ...AND SWOLLEN FEET?: Yeah towards the end. But not that bad. ANY CRAVINGS?: Sour stuff MOOD SWINGS?: Not too bad. I didn't like to be touched. Post Partum . . . ARE YOU BREASTFEEDING OR FORMULA FEEDING?: Breastfeeding ❤ HOW WAS THE FIRST DAY HOME WITH THE BABY?: I don't even remember! It wasn't that hard. ANY DIFFICULTIES?: Umm not yet! Haha I love this little girl. ANY PERSONALITY YET?: If she is awake, she has to be up and looking around. I think she's going to want to explore everything when she gets older. DOES HE/SHE CRY OFTEN?: When she's hungry. IS THE OUTCOME BETTER OR WORSE THAN EXPECTED?: SHE'S PERFECT ❤ HAVING FUN?: So much fun. She cracks me up. HAPPY WITH THE OUTCOME?: I love her so much. ❤ |

Labor & Delivery . . . EARLY, ON TIME OR LATE ARRIVAL & DID YOU FEAR CHILDBIRTH? I also had my LO at 38&2. I was induced due to high bp and fainting i was scared in the weeks running up to labour however i was expecting to be sent hope and they were like 'were inducing you now' i didn't honestly have time to get scared i was induced about an hour after. ANY COMPLICATIONS?: High bp, protein in my wee, something levels in my blood werent right and fainting. YOU ARRIVED AT THE HOSPITAL HOW FAR DILATED & EFFACED?: I was already 2cm just not contracting LABOR ACTIVITIES (DURING CONTRACTIONS): 2 baths, facebook, asleep/out of it, everythings a blur after that HOURS IN LABOR: 12 but like 5 from being in 'established' labour CONTRACTIONS FELT LIKE: My back was on fire i just wanted to rip it off i even remember saying i wish someone would just come and cut my back off DID YOU CONSIDER THE EPIDURAL?: I screamed for one for 10 mins till the gas and air and diamorphine kicked in then i was out of it WERE YOU INDUCED?: yep DESCRIBE DELIVERY: exhausting, I pushed for an hour but he was stuck and then his heart rate was dropping so in came the dr. numbed me down there, cut me and pulled him out with forceps. That was all a bit traumatic. WHERE WAS YOUR PARTNER?: next to me WEIGHT/HEIGHT OF THE BABY: 8lbs 2.5oz 21" Pregnancy . . . PLANNED OR SURPRISE?: surprise FIRST SYMPTOMS (IF ANY): sore boobs, felt sick then missed period HOW DID YOUR PARTNER REACT TO THE NEWS?: He didn't seem bothered tbh said he already knew i was going to say that and didn't know why i was so scared to tell him lol WHEN WERE YOUR BABY'S FIRST MOVEMENTS?: 15 weeks ANY PREGNANCY PAINS?: i didn't get BH ...AND SWOLLEN FEET?: my feet swelled everything swelled due to bp ANY CRAVINGS?: pancakes,orange juice,tea,iron bru MOOD SWINGS?: I was REALLY easygoing the whole time i'm ususally a moody cow but i was lovely during my pregnancy Post Partum . . . ARE YOU BREASTFEEDING OR FORMULA FEEDING?: I ff HOW WAS THE FIRST DAY HOME WITH THE BABY?: The 1st day i got home late afternoon we had a bbq it was lovely and warm and LO barely made a peep, don't remember the 1st night though ANY DIFFICULTIES?: Ohhh yes ANY PERSONALITY YET?: He's a funny little charactor. Very independant and very adventurous. He's just a bundle of mischeif. DOES HE/SHE CRY OFTEN?: he whinges and cry's on and off all day. IS THE OUTCOME BETTER OR WORSE THAN EXPECTED?: Just what i was expecting a baby lol he's much hard work than i expected though not so much when he was tiny, they warn you about that no1 bothers to warn you past 1!! HAVING FUN?: Alot of the time HAPPY WITH THE OUTCOME?: Of course |

EARLY, ON TIME OR LATE ARRIVAL & DID YOU FEAR CHILDBIRTH? i delivered at 38+6 and no i didn't technically "fear" childbirth i was kind of upset because i had to deliver in hospital ANY COMPLICATIONS?: waters broke but no contractions YOU ARRIVED AT THE HOSPITAL HOW FAR DILATED & EFFACED?: i wasn't dilated or effaced, therefore was induced LABOR ACTIVITIES (DURING CONTRACTIONS): laying on the hospital bed talking to my dad HOURS IN LABOR: counting from when i got induced, 8 CONTRACTIONS FELT LIKE: they were bad, but not the worst pain i've felt DID YOU CONSIDER THE EPIDURAL?: no i didn't plan on having it but i was talked into having it by my midwife lol WERE YOU INDUCED?: yes DESCRIBE DELIVERY: 20 minutes of pushing. pushing was death, the pain was intense(even with epidural) and i thought he would never come out WHERE WAS YOUR PARTNER?: haha in another country WEIGHT/HEIGHT OF THE BABY: 6lbs 1oz, 49cm Pregnancy . . . PLANNED OR SURPRISE?: planned FIRST SYMPTOMS (IF ANY): sore breasts HOW DID YOUR PARTNER REACT TO THE NEWS?: he was happy WHEN WERE YOUR BABY'S FIRST MOVEMENTS?: 18-19 weeks ANY PREGNANCY PAINS?: rib pressure, back pain, heartburn ...AND SWOLLEN FEET?: no ANY CRAVINGS?: potatoes lol MOOD SWINGS?: yes Post Partum . . . ANY COMPLICATIONS?: no was perfect ![]() YOU ARRIVED AT THE HOSPITAL HOW FAR DILATED & EFFACED?: first two times was only 3cm, the midwife then came and examined me at home i was 6cm and told me to go to the hospital in a hours time. LABOR ACTIVITIES (DURING CONTRACTIONS): ball bouncing HOURS IN LABOR: 8 hours 22mins ,established , id say 12 hours early labour. CONTRACTIONS FELT LIKE: had back labour , didnt even feel my uterus contracting just constant back ache. DID YOU CONSIDER THE EPIDURAL?: nope, WERE YOU INDUCED?: nope, DESCRIBE DELIVERY: 22 mins of pushing felt like 22 hours , i screamed a very rude word WHERE WAS YOUR PARTNER?: at work :/ WEIGHT/HEIGHT OF THE BABY: 8lb , not sure of height Pregnancy . . . PLANNED OR SURPRISE?: COMPLETE SUPRISE! FIRST SYMPTOMS (IF ANY): sickness, tiredness, was very grouchy and TWO missed periods HOW DID YOUR PARTNER REACT TO THE NEWS?: didnt talk to me till after the first scan , thought i was lying as we had just kinda broke up , as i had been so horrbile to him, looking back now i blame the pregnancy hormones :/ WHEN WERE YOUR BABY'S FIRST MOVEMENTS?: around 18 weeks. ANY PREGNANCY PAINS?: back pain, more back pain, sore legs/hips and heartburn , did i mention back pain? ...AND SWOLLEN FEET?: yup ANY CRAVINGS?: sour sweets. MOOD SWINGS?: ooooh yes Post Partum . . . ARE YOU BREASTFEEDING OR FORMULA FEEDING?: formula :/ HOW WAS THE FIRST DAY HOME WITH THE BABY?: scary as saw OH for the first time in 7 months, but he realised he made a BIG mistake as soon as he held our little man. ANY DIFFICULTIES?: nope ANY PERSONALITY YET?: ALWAYS smiling, such a happy little chap! DOES HE/SHE CRY OFTEN?: only if his hungrey, and screams at 7pm to go bed ,then stops as soon you lay him in the cot. IS THE OUTCOME BETTER OR WORSE THAN EXPECTED?: i was so so scared , thought i had ruined my life, but i was soo wrong, SO FAR , (as it could change!) as Daniels so content its been pretty easy, of course its hard at times but his so worth it! HAVING FUN?: lots! HAPPY WITH THE OUTCOME?: over the moon ! |

LABOR ACTIVITIES (DURING CONTRACTIONS): walking baths and birthing ball HOURS IN LABOR: hard labor , 16 hours ( think ) in total 36 .. CONTRACTIONS FELT LIKE: intense period cramps that shot down my legs DID YOU CONSIDER THE EPIDURAL?: yeah i never asked for it yet but the anthesiologist was there so i got it while he was available . WERE YOU INDUCED?: yup DESCRIBE DELIVERY: hmm... felt better than labor lol WHERE WAS YOUR PARTNER?: in the waiting room WEIGHT/HEIGHT OF THE BABY: 21 inches , 8 lb 7 oz Pregnancy . . . PLANNED OR SURPRISE?: BIG SURPRISE! FIRST SYMPTOMS (IF ANY): sickness , eating more , missed period . HOW DID YOUR PARTNER REACT TO THE NEWS?: FOB was happy. WHEN WERE YOUR BABY'S FIRST MOVEMENTS?: first movement at 17 weeks first REAL kick at 22 ANY PREGNANCY PAINS?: Back and knees. ...AND SWOLLEN FEET?: When i was about 8 months but that went away . ANY CRAVINGS?: Spicy stuff, Curry goat & subway MOOD SWINGS?: Not too bad. I didn't like to be touched. Post Partum . . . ARE YOU BREASTFEEDING OR FORMULA FEEDING?: formula HOW WAS THE FIRST DAY HOME WITH THE BABY?: I was soo tired ANY DIFFICULTIES?: nope ANY PERSONALITY YET?: Very laid back & happy. DOES HE/SHE CRY OFTEN?: When she's hungry , tired or got gas . IS THE OUTCOME BETTER OR WORSE THAN EXPECTED?: 100000 times better HAVING FUN?: So much fun. She cracks me up. ANY COMPLICATIONS?: My waters broke at 35 weeks YOU ARRIVED AT THE HOSPITAL HOW FAR DILATED & EFFACED?: 0% effaced cervix closed LABOR ACTIVITIES (DURING CONTRACTIONS): Eating a sandwich that the midwife bought for me, playing i spy, falling asleep, saying random things like i wanted to be filled up with cement. HOURS IN LABOR: 3 CONTRACTIONS FELT LIKE: Bad period pain DID YOU CONSIDER THE EPIDURAL?: Yes did ask about it but anestetist never came back WERE YOU INDUCED?: Yep DESCRIBE DELIVERY: I thought i needed a wee but couldnt stop myself pushing 3 pushes and she just slid out WHERE WAS YOUR PARTNER?: Floating in and out (was getting very pissed off at him) but mum was by my side whole time WEIGHT/HEIGHT OF THE BABY: 6ib 12oz dont know height they never told me Pregnancy . . . PLANNED OR SURPRISE?: Suprise! FIRST SYMPTOMS (IF ANY): Moody and tired HOW DID YOUR PARTNER REACT TO THE NEWS?: Got really drunk WHEN WERE YOUR BABY'S FIRST MOVEMENTS?: 19 weeks ANY PREGNANCY PAINS?: Once got braxton hicks and kept getting bad leg cramps ...AND SWOLLEN FEET?: No ANY CRAVINGS?: Chicken+ Stuffing MOOD SWINGS?: Not that bad Post Partum . . . ARE YOU BREASTFEEDING OR FORMULA FEEDING?: Formula Feeding HOW WAS THE FIRST DAY HOME WITH THE BABY?: Great but i couldnt get up off the sofa because of my stitches needed lifting up ANY DIFFICULTIES?: Nope she's great ANY PERSONALITY YET?: Yeah she's a right nosy bee DOES HE/SHE CRY OFTEN?: Only when she's hungry IS THE OUTCOME BETTER OR WORSE THAN EXPECTED?: So much better! ANY COMPLICATIONS?: Nope YOU ARRIVED AT THE HOSPITAL HOW FAR DILATED & EFFACED?: Dunno about effaced but I was 2cm and so soft that I dilated from 2 to 10cm in about 4 1/2 hours LABOR ACTIVITIES (DURING CONTRACTIONS): Lying on a bed in pain? HOURS IN LABOR: 5 1/2 CONTRACTIONS FELT LIKE: Being stabbed with what felt like someone pulling my insides out DID YOU CONSIDER THE EPIDURAL?: I was begging for it. Progressed too quickly to have it though WERE YOU INDUCED?: Nope. DESCRIBE DELIVERY: Weird and painful WHERE WAS YOUR PARTNER?: Right next to me WEIGHT/HEIGHT OF THE BABY: 8lbs 3ozs. They didn't measure him Pregnancy . . . PLANNED OR SURPRISE?: A lovely little surprise FIRST SYMPTOMS (IF ANY): Sore boobs then a missed period HOW DID YOUR PARTNER REACT TO THE NEWS?: He dealt with it surprisingly well. Was a bit shocked though WHEN WERE YOUR BABY'S FIRST MOVEMENTS?: 18/19 weeks ![]() ANY PREGNANCY PAINS?: Braxton hicks ...AND SWOLLEN FEET?: Yeah towards the end. Labor & Delivery . . . EARLY, ON TIME OR LATE ARRIVAL & DID YOU FEAR CHILDBIRTH? Both my boys were born ten days early. I didn't fear childbirth with any of them but with Aidan (son number 2) I was scared I'd need a ventouse delivery again. ANY COMPLICATIONS?: I had a ventouse delivery with son number one and then a retained placenta with son number 2. So, I was taken away for a spinal and had to have it manually removed. YOU ARRIVED AT THE HOSPITAL HOW FAR DILATED & EFFACED?: With Adam (number 1) I was only 2 cm dilated. But with Aidan I got there and I was 6cm Dilated. LABOR ACTIVITIES (DURING CONTRACTIONS): With Adam I had four baths, rocked on the footstool we had at home, bounced on a birthing ball and slept. With Aidan I was asleep at the start, had a bath, and then facebooked and played Tiny Village. HOURS IN LABOR: Almost 24 with Adam. And only 5 with Aidan. CONTRACTIONS FELT LIKE: I needed to go toilet badly DID YOU CONSIDER THE EPIDURAL?: Nope, didn't want it at all for both. WERE YOU INDUCED?: Nope x2 DESCRIBE DELIVERY: Exhausting with Adam. I pushed for an hour and twenty mins but nothing happened, had to have a ventouse delivery. With Aidan it was over so quickly and I was only pushing for 20 minutes. I tried different positions this time and just absolutely loved it. WHERE WAS YOUR PARTNER?: Next to my bed, holding my gas and air, giving me drinks WEIGHT/HEIGHT OF THE BABY: 6lb 13oz for Adam 7lb for Aidan Pregnancy . . . PLANNED OR SURPRISE?: Planned FIRST SYMPTOMS (IF ANY): Morning sickness and missed period HOW DID YOUR PARTNER REACT TO THE NEWS?: He was over the moon WHEN WERE YOUR BABY'S FIRST MOVEMENTS?: 15 weeks ANY PREGNANCY PAINS?: Not really ...AND SWOLLEN FEET?: Nope ANY CRAVINGS?: With Adam anything spicy and bbq sauce. With Aidan it was Menthol.. Anything minty haa MOOD SWINGS?: With Adam I was moody as hell. Aidan - I was easy going Post Partum . . . ARE YOU BREASTFEEDING OR FORMULA FEEDING?: Formula feed HOW WAS THE FIRST DAY HOME WITH THE BABY?: It was night time with both. I was so tired and so happy to be home ANY DIFFICULTIES?: Not really ANY PERSONALITY YET?: Adam is independent and mischievous. Aidan is laid back. DOES HE/SHE CRY OFTEN?: Adam hardly cries. Aidan only cries if he's hungry IS THE OUTCOME BETTER OR WORSE THAN EXPECTED?: Better, I love being a Mammy to two under two. HAVING FUN?: Oh yes HAPPY WITH THE OUTCOME?: More than happy |

ANY COMPLICATIONS?: No YOU ARRIVED AT THE HOSPITAL HOW FAR DILATED & EFFACED?: I never heard the word 'efaced' through my whole pregnancy so no idea for that but 1cm when I first when it, got sent home, 3 hours later I was 5cm. LABOR ACTIVITIES (DURING CONTRACTIONS): Nothing really apart from sitting around talking to OH and my mam. HOURS IN LABOR: 17 CONTRACTIONS FELT LIKE: My back was being broken in half and stabbed with 100 knives repeatedly DID YOU CONSIDER THE EPIDURAL?: Yeah, but I didn't end up getting it as I was breathing so well through my contractions WERE YOU INDUCED?: Nope DESCRIBE DELIVERY: Like any normal one you see on TV, legs to the chin, pushing, ring of fire ad finally baby! WHERE WAS YOUR PARTNER?: Next to me WEIGHT/HEIGHT OF THE BABY: 9lb 2oz - 56cm Pregnancy . . . PLANNED OR SURPRISE?: Suprise FIRST SYMPTOMS (IF ANY): Missed period & sickness HOW DID YOUR PARTNER REACT TO THE NEWS?: He just said it's going to be ok WHEN WERE YOUR BABY'S FIRST MOVEMENTS?: 19 weeks ANY PREGNANCY PAINS?: Not really ...AND SWOLLEN FEET?: Not at all ANY CRAVINGS?: S&V crisps and strawberry iced doughtnuts MOOD SWINGS?: Really bad Post Partum . . . ARE YOU BREASTFEEDING OR FORMULA FEEDING?: FF HOW WAS THE FIRST DAY HOME WITH THE BABY?: Tiring, everyone was round and I just wanted to go to bed ANY DIFFICULTIES?: No ANY PERSONALITY YET?: Yeah, he's a super happy baby and pulls the funniest facial expressions! ANY COMPLICATIONS?: Yes, Frazers cord prolapsed so was rushed for c section, ended up delivering both twins naturally with forceps, the boys were then in SCBU for 4 weeks YOU ARRIVED AT THE HOSPITAL HOW FAR DILATED & EFFACED?: I can't remember, they only measured me once, I know that much LABOR ACTIVITIES (DURING CONTRACTIONS): I was strapped up to monitors so couldnt move, just sat their in pain, there were no midwives checking on me HOURS IN LABOR: About 8 or 9 CONTRACTIONS FELT LIKE: Bad, but I had an epidural which took the pain away DID YOU CONSIDER THE EPIDURAL?: I didnt want one, but had to have one because of the high risk of needing an emergancy c section, due to it being twins and they were prem WERE YOU INDUCED?: Nope, they actually tried to stop my labour DESCRIBE DELIVERY: Frazer was pulled out with forceps, because his cord was prolapsed so they had to get him out, Max was also forceps, because I was too knackered from Frazer, and Max was coming out arm first, so I had to get his head and shoulder out WHERE WAS YOUR PARTNER?: Back in my room, I was rushed off to theatre to be put to sleep for a c section, it just so happend that when I got to theatre Frazers head was there so I delivered them, no one thought to go get my OH WEIGHT/HEIGHT OF THE BABY: 3lbs 7 and 3lbs 14 , they were approx 12inches Pregnancy . . . PLANNED OR SURPRISE?: Planned FIRST SYMPTOMS (IF ANY): I was incredibly ill, I kind of knew it was twins before the scan, because I was soooo ill lol HOW DID YOUR PARTNER REACT TO THE NEWS?: Pretty shocked when he found out it was twins haha! WHEN WERE YOUR BABY'S FIRST MOVEMENTS?: Around 18 weeks ANY PREGNANCY PAINS?: Severe SPD, I was on crutches for the last month, and well everything was painful, it was twins, you dont ever get a "pleasant twin pregnancy" lol ...AND SWOLLEN FEET?: I couldnt walk so they were OK ANY CRAVINGS?: Meat... shame I'm vegetarian!! MOOD SWINGS?: I cried my eyes out when I couldnt get the lid of the jam jar, then my OH got it off and I cried more because I felt pathetic Post Partum . . . ARE YOU BREASTFEEDING OR FORMULA FEEDING?: They were FF HOW WAS THE FIRST DAY HOME WITH THE BABY?: Weird, they were 4 weeks old and it was strange not having midwives, other babies, wires and incubators all around me ANY DIFFICULTIES?: Sometimes, they are very cheeky ANY PERSONALITY YET?: Yes, and they are two totally different characters, but they do get on very well DOES HE/SHE CRY OFTEN?: When they have a fight or something IS THE OUTCOME BETTER OR WORSE THAN EXPECTED?: Better of course, I never thought it would be this good! HAVING FUN?: If you knew my twins, you would know they are hilarious, not a day goes by they dont have me giggling HAPPY WITH THE OUTCOME?: They are everything to me xx |
