Contraception?

I saw my health visitor today and she said she would talk to me about it but she didn't say anything. So I assume she forgot? She's coming back in 2 weeks but I really wanna sort something out as I don't want any accidents. I'm not ready to have sex right now but I wanna make sure just in case. I know there is a ton of topics about this but I can't get an implant as I had one removed after 4 months. I didn't stop bleeding the whole time except for 2 weeks. Plus the pill makes me gain weight and get really spotty which puts me off. Plus I won't remember to take it everyday and don't want an accident. I was going to use just condoms but I don't trust just doing that, I'd like a back up. Anyone suggest anything? *Sorry if this sounds dumb* I heard you can get hormonal/none hormonal contraception? What types is there/what do you have?

You can get the injection, it's every 3 months in your bum or arm.
Look it up though as it has possible side effects just like any other contraception

Well injection will go out the window for me then! I really don't wanna gain any more weight! I'm trying to lose my baby weight. Ugh. I'm not sure what I'm gonna do not so sure about coil as they do last 5 years but my midwife said in the hospital people do get pregnant on it a lot but bleed and lose the baby/egg. She said some people don't mind but I would. =/

I'm in the same boat. Trying to figure out which contraception is the best for me. Before leaving the hospital with my second son I got the injection. It wasn't so bad and I haven't noticed any side effects but I just don't think I could keep going back to my doctors every three months to get it since I have two babies to look after and my doctors is like a 20 minute bus ride away. I am seriously considering the implant.

i think after this LO i'm going to go back on the pill i had no issues with that i gained some weight but it was mostly my boobs/hips and wasn't a massive gain. I was just silly and would be too hungover to remember to take it which obviously wont happen this time :P

Never would recommend the implant! Hear so many people complaining about the bleeding and then having it removed. I had it 4 months and never stopped bleeding, except for 2 weeks. Also caused headaches, spots and weight gain =/

I had Mirena for 9 months. I didn't dislike it, in the end it just wasn't for me.
