Raisins.

Brayden is 16 months old. He loves raisins, I heard you shouldn't give them to him. Even if I sit right in front of him while he's eating?

I read because they're dried fruit and harder to chew thoroughly because they can be gummy consistency? He has no molars but he didn't seem to have much problem.

I don't think raisins are considered a choking risk; they aren't like grapes that, swallowed whole for example, could block an airway really... I'd worry more about getting it out of teeth later Elyse has had them since around 12 months though

he'll be fine, you'll probably get quite a few whole ones in his nappy but other than that i wouldn't worry. We start to introduce them a bit at a time at nursery once they turn 1 x

He will be fine.

I give Kenneth raisins (he loves them) but they can be a choking hazard if your LO is just starting out on solid food. So, if you're watching him at all times - he will be fine though.

Bethlouise has been eating raisins since she was six months old, same with whole grapes too. I wasn't aware that these were a problem until someone else freaked out when I gave her a whole grape in front of them

Oh, and my mom said that the boxes of dried apricots and raisins that are aimed at babies say "12 months+" - so you shouldn't worry really.
