Relactation help please?

Feeling so low and disconnected from my babies at the moment. Been feeling like this on and off since I stopped breastfeeding. I stopped when my babies were a week old due to pressure :'( I feel so stupid. They are now 11 weeks old (today), do you girls know if there is any chance I could go back to breastfeeding my girls? I think it would bring back what I feel is missing. Any help would be very much appreciated ..

i think you should probably ask this in the breastfeeding section of this site as they have a lot of breastfeeding veterans there

but from what i heard you can most certainly relactate, it just takes some work to get there

It is possible! Not easy whatsoever but very much so possible. I would head into breastfeeding, they have tons of advice. Or contact TigerLady, she's a breastfeeding champ!

Check out this kelly mom article http://kellymom.com/bf/got-milk/relactation/ I was going to try to explain it, but this says just about everything that I was going to include. It may seem intimidating, but to start with, just try to get them latched on for a few times each day, and I'd try the fenugeek, and build up from there. You can do it mama

Fenugreek works amazingly, as does lots of oats (think porridge and flapjacks!).

I would suggest an electric breast pump, im not sure if you are in the UK, but surestart will loan you one for nothing.

You will need to pump every 3-4 hours, or more. Day and night. Start latching your babies again, and with any luck you can get it back!...its defiantly not to late.

these are also brilliant! http://www.boobbaby.co.uk/shop/speci...ng-system-sns/, might be something worth thinking about to encourage your babies to suckle and continue to get milk until yours starts to come back x x
