But I know people who have done it so I know it has benefits if you do it safely
good luck, and i know what you mean about them freaking out in the hospital! i was holding my lil man and he fell asleep and i closed my eyes for a second and i fell asleep as well and the nurse came in and scolded me :/

I've heard many stories like that, luckily my nurse was more understanding. After being awake for 26 hours, I had Bee asleep on my chest and started to doze off and the nurse came in and woke me, telling me it wasn't safe, but then pulled the bars of the bed up and had me lie on my side to nurse and said that it would be okay to fall asleep like that.

I fell asleep with my LO on my chest and woke up with him dangling off the bed, I've never felt so bad in all my life but we still co-sleep. I just make sure I don't doze off til Oakley is next to me, not on me.

I also put a pillow under him to stop him from escaping that way as my mum found my little bro at the bottom of her bed once

I tried it and it was amazing! Only problem, he peed a lot and it leaked through his diaper a bit No biggie though!

Love co-sleeping! I wouldn't try it if I didn't trust myself. But I know how I sleep and I know I wouldn't do anything to him he slept on my left side, in between the wall and me (my bed is pushed against the wall, no room to fall through) but it was so good, I can't wait to do it again tonight so much easier to just whip out a boob and feed him lol!

Mattix has sleep apnea so I'm not allowed to co-sleep.
But I did for his first 2 weeks and I loved it! I miss it

There is nothing wrong with co-sleeping as long as it's done safely. It's beneficial!

we still co-sleep. We were really particular with how we co-slept in the beginning, no extra blankets, we didnt have any pillows on the bed, he layed on his back etc but we stumbled away abit. Alexander likes to sleep on his side laying on my arm or close to me cuddling. or OH.

It sounds like you know what you are doing.

thats great to hear, it really is an amazing thing and I found Alexander was a much happier baby with it. Although it is harder to get him to sleep in his own bed now :S

Alexander used to wee through his nappy alot when he was that young, Id always wak up with wee on me haha, but he grew out of it, and we started buying better nappies.

Well I'll be the bad mommy over here...

Coslept from the beginning and didnt take any precautions with LO in the bed. There was 5-6 different pillows, 2 comforters, a sheet and she slept in between me and OH some nights, other times she would be on the edge of the bed..

So as long as you do it safely thats all that counts!
