Suddenly no balance?.. Updated

Caleb is almost 15 months and has been walking since 11 so he's quite confident but this morning when he woke up he is suddenly falling after like 2 steps and needs to hold onto something and just acting really strange. Usually he is running around wild but today he wants to sit or lie on the floor. He has a few things going on - 4 molars coming in, cough and cold and he got his immunisations on Wednesday (his mmr and boosters). Not sure if I should be worried or it's just an effect from these. Don't know whether to call nhs24 for advice or just wait til tomorrow to see my own gp.

Hello. Gosh the wee honey has lots to contend with at the moment, no wonder he's wanting to take it easy. This said personally I would give NHS 24 a call to help put my mind at rest otherwise you'll have a horrible day watching and worrying, and if they do want him to see a Dr you're a day ahead of were you would be by waiting till Monday. Hope he feels better soon.

Thanks everyone. I called nhs and they said to bring him to see a doctor at 12:15. I now can't work out If it's his Balancd or he has a sore leg or hip as when he's trying to walk he looks really strange as though he's not bending his leg but that could be because he feels dizzy. Anyway I'll update when he's seen the doctor. Another thing concerning me is that his nappys have not been really wet at all over thr last few days and they are really strong smelling urine and dark but don't know if it's all related x

Thanks everyone. Thought id update quickly.... I took him to doctors and by then it was quite aparent that there was a problem with his leg as he was limping then falling over. The doctor sent us to another hospital with a children's ward to be checked. The doctor here tested his urine (which was really difficult to collect lol) and his blood (which was absolutely horrendous) and this showed sign of infection. The doctor thinks he has an infection in his hip and we have to stay over night in hospital. It's been such a hard day for him. He's been hysterical as he doesn't know where he is an whats happening and had to get pinned down to get blood . But he's sleeping now and seems fine. Thanks again for everyone's concern xxxx

What a rotten day for you both. I'm so pleased you got there today rather than waiting. I hope you manage to get some sleep and don't need to stay in too long.
