3 year old and play dates

My son has been asking for a while for one of his friends from nursery to come to our house so last week I wrote a note to his parents and gave it to his nursery teacher as I dont know the parents. I mentioned that we could meet in a mutual place and parents welcome.
I have not heard anything back yet but would you go on a playdate with a mum you hadnt met. and if not would you ignore the note or reply saying no?

Did the nursery definitely pass it on?

If you still haven't heard id just approach her and ask, gage her response.

I think its lovely what you are doing

Yip nursery definitely passed it on. Always seem to be at the nursery at different times to her hence giving the note to the nursery staff.
Feel quite sorry for my son as he asked again today and it took a lot of courage to write the note as I am not that confident about this kind of thing. Not sure if I have given her enough time to reply?

If it were me I'd for sure reply- either way... but why not? Just gives you both the chance to meet new parents and let the kids play at the park or something. I would maybe give it a week full week- and if no reply, then not sure what you can do. Maybe the parents are hesitant but don't want to say no? IDK... if it were me, and I didn't get a response, I'd be a bit offended- then just let it go as I don't like to feel I'm harrassing someone. haha. But people do get wrapped up in things and busy- so maybe they just lost track of time and will respond soon? Very sweet you did that! If they don't respond, which hopefully they will, don't let that stop you in the future Some people are just flakey... it's unfortunate, but it happens.
