Is it best to be in my hand luggage or in my suitcase, iv read on the airlines website and it says it is permited in hand luggage but doesnt say anything about it beeing aloud in suitcase? Id rarther put it in my suitcase but if its gunna cause problems then it'll have to go in the hand luggage does anyone know?
Iv tryed calling the airline all day and its to busy i keep getting told to call back!
Do you mean unmixed, in the unopened packaging? The suitcase should be fine. I took 2 boxes with me for a 4 week holiday when my LO was small. There was never a problem. Even took whatever was left in the opened packaging and put it in my suitcase for the way back. Never even thought that it might be a problem. You should be fine.
Thank youuuu! i was just worryed they were gunna take my suitcase off me wondering what the hell it was haha, but yeah i do mean the unmixed powder stuff and its in a box, unopened, tho id rarther take the box thats already open but i dont want it spilling everyware!
I called my airlines last year when my son was smaller they told me I couldnt bring the powdered formula because I would have to bring water to mix it. Im not sure what formula you use but they have good start formula in a can (it looks like a soda can) thats already mixed. hope this helps
As long as it's not firearms or explosives, airlines pretty much let you carry anything you want in your checked luggage, as you won't have access to it while on the plane.
Jessanddoug... they should have let you bring your powdered formula, since you can buy bottled water at the airport after the security checkpoint; anything bought once you're past security is allowed on the plane. Some of these "safety measures" have gone well past ridiculous!
I put formula in my suitcase when i went last year when LO was about 3 months, it was fine.
I did take some ready made cartons in my hand luggage tho and i was made to open them all and taste it! so i'd probably only take what you need for journey to airport and for on the plane in your hand luggage, you can buy the ready made cartons from the shops once you go throgh security theres usuaully a Boots in airports.
Well he only has 2 bottles a day so im not worryed about on the plane, he'll have his morning bottle on the way to the airport which we'll make up before we leave then on the night when we get there i'll just take the case of formula out of my suitcase and make him up a bottle for bed time! he can drink cows milk if i want him too, but iv only just moved him back to formula because he wasnt eating properly i dont want to chance it when were away! anyway, the case is all packed now! :-)
I'd take some in your hand luggage as well - just in case your bag gets lost! Just got back from Canada and I had a box of formula in each of our checked bags and a small amount in my hand luggage. If you make up your formula they might ask you to taste it - apart from that I had no problems
