Not your average beach safety lesson

My sister just forwarded me this link, we've lived near a beach for our whole lives (or I did) and never knew this could happen!

If you're taking your little ones to the beach this summer then please read - at least read the first paragraph if you don't want to be scared of beaches for the rest of your life.

I almost cried for her, her family is so fortunate.

It has stuck in my mind from being a kid when my Dad searched the beach with many others at Hunstanton when a poor little boy had a tunnel collapse on him and he died.

heartbreaking x

Thanks for this, good info to know! We were just at the beach recently and my son ran off, I about had a heart attack frantically looking for him. It never would have occurred to me that sand holes could be a risk too. Good to know for future reference.

Thank you for sharing this. I'm moving to Florida soon so this is definitely something I'll have to take note of.
