Puddlesuits?

Do any of your little ones wear these "puddlesuits" or "splashsuits" in the rain?

I absolutely love a blue one I saw in Boots with little white stars on that turns into a backpack but they're no longer on the website I wish I'd bought one at the time but didn't know LO would be walking so soon. None on eBay either!!

So do you find them good? Or are they just too much of a fiddle to put on when it starts to rain, do you prefer a good old-fashioned coat?

Daisy used to have one but to be honest it was a hassle to get on and off and we didn't really use it much.

I use them (not all-in-ones anymore though, now she has waterproof trousers with braces and waterproof jacket). They're essential here as there's so much rain in autumn and spring, plus Maria likes to go in puddles up to her knees! These are like the ones I use http://www.vikingkids.co.uk/waterproofs.htm#rain-sets

Amazon has the all-in-one ones http://www.amazon.co.uk/Regatta-Kids.../dp/B002QUZL8S

yeah we have them. I just buy from ebay - often the regatta one. We get fleece lined for winter too.

These are essentials in my house as we like to spend a lot of time outdoors! For older children I prefer the type that have dungarees and a coat separately, but the all-in-one splash suits are ideal for younger toddlers. I always feel sorry for the children who can't go splashing in puddles!

Tom has waterproof trousers or dungarees but the all in ones were just too hard to get on and off him. He only wears them when it's cold and wet but we always carry his wellies in the car just in case there's puddles for jumping in!

Harvey got loads of wearing out of his. I bought it in a size bigger so that he could wear a thick jacket under it in winter and it still fit him in summer. I think I got his from Little Trekkers online.

For me this kind of thing goes in the 'buy on ebay category' I have one but we've never used it!

We use ours a lot, much easier than trying to keep her out of the puddles!

Yes, we always have Daisy's wellies handy too for puddles. She never needs anything else really as she doesn't roll around in puddles or anything like that!
