the switch to cows milk

im after any tips on the switch to cows milk. lyssa is a year now and we've been trying varying methods since eleven and a half months to make the switch, including doing it gradually starting with half an ounce of cows milk to 6 and a half of formula, i even tried very very diluted chocolate milkshake on a hv suggestion, she wont touch cows milk.
at the moment she's got some toddler milk as we have a combination of teething and a cold so she's not eating, but its full of sugar (it smells like white chocolate buttons) and i wont be buying it again
thanks for reading

we had the same problem eventually i gave morgan cows milk in her normal formula bottle at lunchtime but i left it out on the worktop for about half an hour (i thought it was the cold putting her off) and she took it because it was room temp (this is how she took her formula)
she was just over a year
my friend had to heat cows milk to get her son to go near it and then gradually decreased the heat until he would take it at room temp

hope you find a solution soon x

We have to warm the cow's milk to slightly warmer than she took her formula

We did a few days of half cows milk/half formula bottles, and then just tried her with cow's milk on its own.

We've also been using cow's milk on her cereal and in her porridge for a few months, which I think has helped her get used to the taste

I did the gradual oz milk/6oz formula thing but that worked for us. At about 17 months he started refusing it again and I just decided to get milk in in other ways rather than push it

Holly was reluctant to switch over and when offered just cows milk would refuse point blank to drink it.

What worked for me was into a 6 oz bottle of milk, adding one scoop of cow and gate powder - we did this for a week, then the next week half a scoop, then the following just cows milk. She now takes it no problem (although wont take it fridge cold, it has to be room temp - so I take her morning bottle to bed with me, and her bedtime bottle is zapped in the microwave for 20 secs to take the chill off).

we made the switch right after Adam turned 1, started offering a cup of cow milk in the afternoon, then changed the morning cup and then once the Aptamil stage 1 was finished, the bedtime bottle, too. he actually rejected the formula once he was on cow milk and will not take it (I offered a leftover carton of stage 1 and also toddler milk once when we'd run out). he likes it however he gets it - room temp, warm or chilled. I wondered if he likes it because he's used to plain unsweetened full fat yogurt...

I pretty much just switched straight over.. I put cows milk in his cereal in the morning then small sips through the day but I have to heat up his night time bottle to the same temp as he used to take formula.
