How do we go about dropping bedtime bottle? Is it too soon?

Hi ladies, Lyla is down to just the one bottle at bedtime, she is almost 16 months old, and we have been wondering when we should stop the bedtime bottle? How do you normally go about it? xx

I think they suggest that you carry on for a good while yet. My eldest has been drinking his from a cup for a few months but still has some every night.

Chloe still has a bottle just before bed and she actually has one when she wakes up in the morning too [wrong I know but she loves it and I don't see any harm in it really] - she is 18 months.

I've tried giving her milk in a cup but she just pushes it away.

Charlie still has his bedtime bottle and I'm not planning on stopping it any time soon - it's his one and only of the day and it signals 'bedtime' for him so I'm kinda dreading what signals bedtime once it stops?? eeekk! I think your LO is still young enough to have one too

AJ has a cup of milk before bedtime and one in the morning.
He doesnt eat cheese or like milk on his cereal so I'm reluctant to take it away. I'm happy as long as he's happy.

As for the bottle, we switched the morning milk to a cup first and then the bedtime one when he was happy enough drinking it from a cup. We didnt give up the bottle till AJ was over 18mths.

When u guys mean cup do u mean a spout one or a regular one? Tom is 13 mnths and has a spout cup before bed and in morn. I remember being a kid and having warm milk before bed, even now I'll have a horlicks in winter. It's nice whatever age so I don't plan on stopping anytime soon!
