When do you stop using bibs ?

I nearly always use bibs unless I am feeding finger food and had planned to keep using them for a while but my washing machine has decided to break and turn a whole load of bibs and teatowels a dirty grey colour

Is it worth replacing them all or do you think he won't need them much longer ?

I always put Ruby in a bib, so if all my bibs got ruined I would replace them all, personally. Ruby isn't the greatest cutlery user though, so she probably makes more mess than some LOs her age.

Sam was never a sicky baby so we stopped using bibs quite a while ago. Even when I did use one, it wasn't long before Sam decided to pull them back off (Even the over-head ones). The only time I put one on him now is if we are out in a restaurant (although we don't eat out often) or if he's got soup as he does make a bit of a mess with that. I have to use the bibs with arms though so he keeps them on!!

Do what ever works for you; Sam doesn't have anything really mucky till tea time anyway and I strip him to his vest as he gets straight in the bath after so I don't feel the need, but we all do things differently!

I stopped using bibs a few months ago, Bella just seems to pull them off and gets frustrated at the plastic type ones. I find she still gets food everywhere even in a bib so i just don't bother!

I don't bother very often he takes them off or drops food under the bib anyway.
General he gets ready for bed not long so it doesn't matter

G insists on a bib before he'll eat main meals! We use ones with sleeves.

I stopped using bibs the day that he would get it all over his shirts anyways, about 8 months old??
My question for you is, the dirty grey color you say, is it actually dirty or just discolored? I personally wouldnt replace them all, buy a few new once,I would just use the ones that are discolored since they will get dirty anyways, its meant to save the good clothes. Did you have a load of darks befor or is it the belt in the washer that rushed along the bibs and ruined them?

I still use them, the tommee tippee ones with the catcher at the bottom. If i didnt then she would need her clothes changing at every meal time. At this rate she will be wearing it well into her teens! lol
