green runny nose...

DD has had a green runny nose for a week and a half... my doc has said before, green is generally an infection. But she has nothing else wrong other than a runny nose and associated cough. So how long would you leave it before seeing the doc?

Earl had this for a while. Could be a cold that's settled in his sinus. Could be an allergy that's causing inflammation. We would give Earl calpol/calprofen to begin with but we noticed he would be worse at the CM's than at home, so we tried piriton (Dr prescribed) and this seemed to help. It seemed to clear up on it's own after a week or two.

I would probably go to the Dr's after a week or so, and then go from there, but as long as LO's happy and still full of energy you shouldn't worry.

She was off this evening, but we think it was more tired than anything, and teething. I might give it til monday.

Icside, it's the green that the doc says is bad. DD's got a runny nose for months at a time, but at the moment it's thick and green, and that's not good.

Ah, she is definitely teething, she's got 3 molars come down in the last month and a half? Today she wasn't running much, so I sent her off to grandma with some calpol in her bag just in case.
