No nappies and no accidents...at last :)

Jay has been so stubborn with the whole toilet training concept...and I've been really softly softly with him thinking he'll do it when he's ready

I've been reading the pirate pete, potty training for boys book all week and he's been showing lots of really positive signs Practicing pulling pants on and off, pretending to wee on the potty Last night me and DH were chatting and decided that as of today we'd tell Jay we've got no daytime nappies left, as he's back at preschool next week and it would be a lot harder to do then.

I wasn't sure how it'd go, but he's gone on the toilet all day with no accidents and I'm in shock and completely delighted My little boy is growing up

xx

I hope so It seems to have really worked for us the gentle nudge approach, maybe it would have been quicker if we'd have just taken his nappies away sooner, but I love the fact he's so willing

So far so good this morning

I'm glad you have posted this, my son doesn't seem that interested did really well to start with but then just decided he didn't want too. Everyone kept on he should be dry at 2 !!!

May be he just isn't ready yet ??? I've heard someone else say about that book maybe it's worth a go

I know, it's funny how much pressure we got from people but ultimately we couldn't force him I've tried a few times throughout the year and he's basically kept wetting himself and getting REALLY distressed everytime we mentioned the potty

It seems that he's overcome his worries now which is great. We've had a few accidents today, but also lots of wees on the toilet too so we're getting there Just no poos yet so that'll be interesting

xx

This sounds exactly how my son is, I don't want to distress him as it's going to put him further back I think. It is amazing how much pressure you get but if they are not ready then you can't force them.

At least he is progressing any wee's on the toilet is better than none ..... Goodluck

xx
