Omar woke up last night at 2am coughing then he threw up At 6 am he had a temp (39 oC). I gave him calpol, ibrufen, his antihestamin (sp?) for the cough, room temp compresses & lots of cuddles. He slept from 9 am till 4 pm.
He's refusing to eat his cereals & yoghurt. I cooked a clear chicken soup with carrots & potato & it went well.
I need some ideas of some nutritious soups that dont need blending as Omar hates blended soups.
I don't know if Omar likes things with lots of spice, but this is Buns favourite soup. I don't put in kale (unless I puree the kale or something), but I add corn and other veg like potato or sweet potato. He mostly likes the broth and chickpeas though - and it is very soothing! Plus I love it too. http://blog.fatfreevegan.com/2007/11...kale-soup.html
I make homemade chicken soup with different twists. Megan loves chicken flavor so it's a big hit with her.
Boil chicken, take off the bone, ( if you use de-boned you need more chicken broth added)
Add whatever veggies, traditional at my house are the carrots, celery, and potatoes but I switch it up and add corn, peas, green beans, whatever you want. I add noodles after the veggies are cooked, but you can make it with rice as well.
I've made a cheesy veggie soup but it's creamy with cream of chicken soup added along with the cheese so not sure if he would be into that? Megan likes it with broccoli especially.
