personally i prefer to get my LO's shoes fitted properly. it means she only has one pair of shoes at a time unlike her cousin who has dozens but i prefer her to have one good pair. you can though get some amazing bargains in the clarks sales or clarks outlet!

she also doesn;t seem to complain if her shoes are getting tight. she found her old ones the other day and insisting having them put on. i put them on her cause i thought she'd complain they were too tight but she didn't (she just loves having shoes on cause it means we're going outside!). she ran around quite happily inside the house and didn;t seem to care that the shoes were tight even though it meant she wasn't walking quite right.

To be honest though i'd rather buy her cheap new shoes than second hand......second hand ones might not have worn through the toes and looky very scruffy but shoes do tend to mould to your foot and having shoes moulded to someone else's foot doesn't seem quite right.....
This is one of the reasons i always have mine properly measured. Even my 4 year old doesn't complain if his shoes are too tight therefore a 2 year old is never going to say they don't fit right. The place that we get our shoes from won't listen to the child's idea until he can be sure they know what they are talking about he knows if they are fitting right or not whereas my eldest will say they don't fit right if he doesn't like the colour!

Thanks ladies. I took her to Clarks yesterday and her feet have only grown half a size so it's not my imagination her current shoes DO still fit. Bought her a pair of doodles anyway as they were super cute and only £10 (Clarks outlet) plus they're a bit more 'spring like' than her current shoes. Looking forward to the summer and being able to get her some sandals! She wasn't walking last summer so just didn't bother with shoes. But she currently has a bit of a welly fetish! Lol
