My daughter is still in her crib and I feel like everyone else's toddlers are in the toddler bed already! We have the toddler bed set up but she is not liking the idea of actually sleeping in it. She will lay in it and read books in it.... But when time comes for actual sleeping she goes running to the crib begging to go in. Lol. She hasn't attempted to climb out yet though. If she did that I would force the bed issue.

I agree!! Adam was tsarting to pull himself out his cot and got stuck trying to get his leg over the side, so we put him in his toddler bed a month shy of his 2nd birthday!!!!

I thought you were going to say by helping pre-pare dinner or something. (mine does that btw) and the laundry and dusting and gardening

No definitely not, if she can climb out it is unsafe. My Lo was in a toddler bed at 18months

Thank you all so very much indeed! Three pages of replies and every one of you seem to think that she should be moving to a toddler bed and I am not losing my marbles by suggesting it!!! Its nice to know sometimes other people think my mother is wrong and its not just me

Nibblenic, she does indeed help to prepare dinner! She brings the chair over and stands up. If I peel potatoes or veggies she puts them in the cold water in the pot, if I'm making toast she butters it, if I'm making noodles or pasta she puts them into the pot before I add the hot water. If I don't involve her there is hell to pay! She puts my empty cartons in the bin, loads and unloads the dishwasher with me and knows to put her dirty socks and pants in the washing basket! I work that girl lol!!!! Its great though, keeps her involved and always lots and lots of praise for being such a big help to mummy
