Hitting issue

Rocco does this a lot lately. If I stop paying attention to him for more than 10 seconds he will hit me!! In the face. He doesn't do this to anyone else. Ever. Last night we went to dinner with a few friends. My husband could talk away as much sa he wants, but the second I started talking, he reached over and smacked me in the face. It was horribly embarrassing. Anytime I want to relax for a few minutes he does it. He will poke me in the eye or pinch me. I don't know where he gets this from! We don't hit or poke or pinch him!! He isn't around other kids much. It's so frustrating. And I know it sounds pathetic but I just went to cry some days. He's not even 3 and he's getting to me. I feel defeated by my toddler. My husband doesn't understand. His answer is "pinch him back" Fuck off. I would love for him to be in my shoes for ONE day and just get randomly smacked in the face for no reason.
