Maisie sits in the trolley and luckily is really good. We usually make a list so she holds that for me and she pretends she can read off it and what we need to get lol, i let her pick some of the foods ect breakfast cereal and her character spaghettti, then get her to help me 'find' other foods and she points me in which direction to go .

Katie sits in the trolley.

Eating whatever is to hand......chicken, grapes, crisps.

Folloed by a chat to the checkout ladies and then to the taxi driver.

Then she helps unpack it while eating my fig rolls.

V xx

We had our first public tantrum in the supermarket at the weekend!

Lily always sits in the trolley seat, strapped in. She's usually content enough to play with random things I give her to hold (keys, packets of sponges, basically anything that makes noise...) She also loves the little metal thing that connects the trolley to the one in front but last Sunday, she kept putting it in her mouth so I took it from her and hid it with my hand. Well, my word... the screams!

She did calm down quickly though, and I gave her my keys while we were waiting in line to pay. I had to take them off her to scan my clubcard, and public tantrum part 2 started!

Actually made me laugh. She's usually in great form but had only slept for 45 minutes that morning, so was tired and grouchy. And luckily both tantrums were mild. Just interesting to catch a glimpse of my future though

I have done before, but felt brave enough to fight that battle that day. I think I'm my own worst enemy sometimes...

I take Ihsan into the supermarket every other day for things as its just around the corner and I just get what we need for a day or 2. We start at the toy section, I let him have a quick look and then he goes in the trolley. I tell him what we need and he 'helps' me find the things and he likes to put them in the trolley. We usually go to the self scan and he likes to help me 'beep' the things and put the money in. He likes to get the receipt I wouldn't do a big shop with him, 15minutes tops!

Fin stays in the trolley... but we do our big shop online so only ever go in store for a few bits which doesn't take long. He likes to hold things or put them in the trolley for me so passing him any unbreakables tends to work well xx

I order online for the big shop and only started taking Charlie to the supermarket recently for picking up essentials as I don't have a car and he doesn't go in a buggy so there was no way I could get him and the shopping home hassle free! Now he goes in the trolley no probs, I hand him (unbreakable) stuff to put in for me, we have a little chat on the way round about anything and everything - he talks to almost everyone in the passing and eats grapes and as long as he has a go on the little motorbike ride on the way out he's happy - we quite enjoy it now

Olly is really good, he sits in the trolley the whole time and sings!! He has started a new thing where he wont let you push the trolley, if you put your hands on the bar he will push them off and laugh. We do our big shop on a Monday, if his Daddy is off then he will come too, which LO loves!
