If you had a whole weekend to yourself...

What would you do?

I'm going to London tomorrow for 3 nights all on my owwwwwwn. I'm a bit nervous about leaving Ivy but trust OH implicitly and I am kind of insanely excited I am obviously meeting friends and going out every night but I feel like I need to do all the things I don't normally get to do in the daytime - I need ideas! So far I have come up with:

Go for a long lunch date
Stay in bed until noon reading a book

More ideas please, need to appreciate my weekend of freedom fully!

SLEEEEEEEP!! hehe, erm... I would just walk around the streets aimlessly I think! Not rushing anywhere, not having to see to either of my children, not having to push a pushchair/babywear...

Just go with the flow, as that's the novelty you miss when becoming a mom!

Of course to be super sad, my ideal would to be childless for a weekend in my own home so I could clean it properly!

Oh my god you lucky lucky girl!

If I was alone I would first stay up late and get verrrry drunk and then sleep through the night!
Then I'd have breakfast in bed and read until I wanted to get up.
Have a lovely long shower. Eat dinner in peace!
Then get in bed at 8pm and stay up really late reading. And have a nice lie in. The next day I would repeat it! very interesting arent I!

I would have a soak in the bath with a glass of wine.

Luxury getting ready by painting my nails...so they look graceful! And do my hair and make up so I look like I've had more than 5 minutes to put it on.

I would go shopping for something special just for me. And relish in the time it takes to try it on rather than having one of the kids trying to open the curtain just as I've taken my top off or pullingon my leg

Have an alcoholic drink during the day (as in an all dayer )...I think I've only ever done that about 6 times!!

Enjoy yourself honey!! I bet you'll have a fab time

Sleep, sleep and sleep.

I think you and me must be very similar! I def plan to stay up till at least 3am on Sunday with a book...this is genuinely exciting to me! I feel like I'm going on a 2 week holiday to some exotic country - no offense Ivy

Browse through the shops without having a toddler either pulling things off the shelves, running through the clothes or having a fit because she wants to leave - sounds amazing!

See I keep thinking that I will just sleep loads but in a way, I don't want to waste the weekend by sleeping!

Ah yessss long window shopping sessions, not an option with a toddler!

Shopping! I used to love spending hours in bookshops just looking at books, then buying one and taking it to a coffee shop and flicking through! I would enjoy not having a pushchair in a busy high street too and just walk really seamlessly and inconspicuously through millions of shops! Have to say though I did manage to go shopping on Saturday with my toddler monster and she was as good as gold, came round all the vintage clothes and charity shops, this is a good sign!
Enjoy your trip x x x
