Daydreaming or seizure?

So my LO was riding in the car tonight, I happened to look back at her and she was staring off into space. I tried to get her attention even putting my hand over her eyes...NOTHING! After several seconds she "came to" and acted like nothing was wrong. Have any of you experienced this and if so what did you do? Very worried and scared momma

I have had this a couple of times with my LO. Although we have to be careful with LO as his dad suffers with that type of epilespy. Just keep an eye on it and if you get too worried see your GP...

Oh also when she was doing it, was she playing with her clothing/chewing it or grinding her teeth? As that cominded with the staring is a sign (well it is in OHs case) x

Was she sleepy? Frankie will often be in his own world if he's tired and we're in the car. I put it down to the rhythmic motion of the car combined with his sleepiness. It's almost like he's dropping off but his eyes are still open. X

^^^ Thomas gets exactly like that in the car too, almost as if he's gone into a trance. I think it is just on the verge of sleep but still with his eyes open.

That's exactly how it was girls. She was very sleepy and almost trance-like. Very scary! She did take Benadryl the night before and I just read it can bring on seizures, so I am still a little concerned.

How does she behave when she's dropping off to sleep at other times? I cuddle Frankie to sleep each night (still!!) and he's exactly the same when he's about to drop off then too, just in a trance and very dreamy. I am not concerned by this as it really only is when he is on the verge of sleep. Why not watch her at bedtime tonight and see how she is then. Do try not to worry if you can xxxxxx
