Omar is fine in restaurants. He loves to eat out. But he's used to it as we've been taking him out with us since he was a baby. We go to all sorts of restaurants with him including hotels & fancy places. Now he asks the waiter for a baby chair once he he reaches the restaurant

We take crayons, books & the iPad with us. when he gets bored we take him out of the chair & he likes to hold hands & walk around.

We eat out a couple of times a month (would be more if we could afford it)

Indies loves it, she gets a fruit shoot!

I've eaten out with LO quite often ever since he was born. I do have to say though, that as much as I've taken him out, he can be such a pain sometimes and it's really hard to enjoy going out to a sit-down restaurant when I have Kenneth who is just like annoying half the time! We rarely go to a sit down restaurant but if we do, I bring plenty for him to do (crayons, paper, pens, etc) anything that will keep him interested for 5 minutes until we get our appetizers. I also try to go to kid friendly places that have playgrounds so that beforehand I can take him to play and by the time he's done, he WANTS to sit down and relax.

We do, though we haven't recently it normally ends up on the floor or thrown across the room - it's far too stressful

hattie hippo I want him to learn how to behave too so I dont want to stop going. Its definitely not the experience it used to be though thats for sure! I always feel a bit edgy before we go in. We actually went to a Harvester yesterday for an early dinner and sat outside as it was so warm. It was perfect, he was much happier, didnt play up and could toddle about on the grass while we waited for our meals. And the stuff on the floor didnt matter either. Result! Just as well we were outside as he managed to smack his mouth on the table and cut it open there was blood everywhere!!! Deffo family friendly places, think well stick to pubs and pizza hut is a good idea. Gonna check out places with a play area too so he can let off steam if he needs to. Those meals out with DH on our own are so precious now!! You dont realise how much easier a tiny baby is in some respects. Although once this ones here I dont know if we'll eat out for months lol

Yes, we eat out quite a lot. I make sure I have some things (books, paper and crayons, toy car....) to keep LO busy until the food arrives as I can't bear it when kids run wild around restaurants and interrupt other people eating/chatting. When the food arrives he goes into the highchair and eats with us. If we were to put him in the highchair before the food came he would be bored and want out by the time it arrived so until then he sits/stands on my knee/my Hs knee. Sometimes I take him for a walk round the restaurant, but not around other people's tables (only do this if there is more than just me and one other so not leaving someone sat by themselves).

We go to child friendly places like Harvester or Pizza Express.
