Toddlers & Ghosts?!? (I'm not nuts, I promise!)

So for the past few weeks Liam has kept pointing to the ceiling in the living room and saying 'bubbles', didn't think much of it tbh and thought it was just because he knew how to say the word etc... However the past week he is still doing it and will constantly point and shout it and I swear to god he is saying 'ghost' as well and then will keep repeating both words until he gets my attention.

He is 22 months old and I've no idea where he would have learnt the word ghost because I don't speak about them and I can't think of anything he would have watched that may have mentioned them either? However, I'm convinced he is saying it and my friend has heard him say it a few times on separate occasions and agrees he is definitely saying that word. She was freaked out by it and said maybe he can see orbs?!?

I don't know what to think, it's pretty weird but he seems excited when he tells me about 'bubbles' etc so I'm not worried, just a bit creeped out. My OH has also heard him say this time and time again but has tried to dismiss it as he doesn't believe in spirits etc.

A while back when Liam was about 5/6 months old things kept going missing in the house and I was in the kitchen and the kettle randomly boiled itself but since that, nothing.

It's all really strange...

They do say that toddlers have a 6th sense.

My MIL passed away when my DD was 6 weeks old so LO has met her but wouldn't remember her or know her.

When we moved house she kept saying "The lady at the door" which freaked me out no end so I just sort of humoured her.

But then when we went to FIL's a few weeks ago she was pulling things out of the draw and found a picture of MIL that isn't out on display and that she's never seen before.. And she pointed and said "That's my nanny, the lady at the door".. Which stopped me freaking out AS MUCH, but I still find it all very creepy

Wow, that is weird. I'm tempted to pull out a pic of my Dad now as I've a feeling it's him (I've done ouiji boards in the past and he always seemed to come through even when I sat and watched my friends do it)!?!

I may sound like a nut case but I very clearly remember seeing what I think were ghosts when I was a kid. But I was scared to death of them. maybe I had a very vivid imagination and I made myself see things?? IDK. But to this day, I refuse to allow myself to stare into the dark for too long. But I do know/think babies and young children probably see things. Is possible... Gves me shivers.... Lol!

They defiantly see. My 5 year old still does, we had an episode with him last night.

Every Sunday we go to my granny's, E usually has a nap there at about 10am - 12pm. We haven't been for 4 weeks as my granny has been in hospital.

In them 4 weeks E has learnt to say granddad, to my dad

We went to see my granny Sunday just gone, and E was a bit out of sorts, I think because we haven't been for so long it took her a while to settle, I always put her in my granny's bedroom, in her buggy to sleep, I took her in at about 11am and she pointed at my granddads portrait and said 'granddad' I said wave at granddad and she waved at the portrait.

Now I never met my granddad, only seen pictures.

I don't find it weird, I think its nice they get visits.

You're not nuts! My mum died 7 years ago but I've shown photos of her to Aisling. About 9 months ago, we were out for a walk and she dragged me over to what was an empty field pointed and smiled and said Nana Roisin. I asked who she could see, she said Nana Roisin again and I asked where and she just pointed into space. She was really happy and when I said we had to go she turned around, smiled and said Bye Nana Roisin! Then today I was chatting to her about who she'd seen at the childminder's yesterday and she said Roisin - the childminder wasn't in contact with anyone by that name yesterday. I asked her about it a couple of times and she was adament she'd seen Roisin - weird thing is that it would have been my mum's 70th birthday yesterday....
