big, round belly

my hubby has been fretting about this and is starting to get me worried now, too, so i thought i'd see how common it is. hayden has a good apetite and will usually eat quite a bit, but even when he seems to have only eaten a relatively small amount his belly becomes very large, round and hard after every meal. it bulges out to the sides as well as to the front, making him look kind of like he has swallowed a football! he will sometimes look quite uncomfortable, too, although it doesn't usually seem to bother him.

i am concerned that we might be over feeding him (although we blw, so he has always had control of how much to eat) but hubby worries there could be more to it. and it is rubbing off on me. he doesn't seem to be constipated and he has no trouble getting wind out, so i don't think it's any of those things.

Babies and toddlers have nearly no abdominal muscles so they don't have anything to keep the stomach in. So it'll stick out all over and in funny different shapes.

Alexas tummy is always like this. Haven't thought anything of it really. It's as if she's poking it out all of the time... But mYbe she is because she sees my big ol Preggo belly. Lol.
