We go every couple of weeks and he loves it. He enjoys picking books out, especially if he sees a character he recognises or he finds a book with flaps to lift or anything with a picture of a digger/tractor/truck on it.... He loves the self scan computer as it prints a 'tick' (receipt/ticket) and is touch screen too. He also has a real love for touching the window blind cords there too, but thankfully they have those safety things on them that mean they are fastened to the wall.

At my library they have a regular story and rhyme time session for toddlers.

I put no because I have never taken Carter, but this thread has spurred me to make sure I take him! I don't know why I haven't in the past.

We used to go but then couldnt always go back at the right times to return them so its phased out a bit. Would still like to go but will have to 'fit' it in. Also they have a toddler session which your local library might have too - its fun and so worth going.

I havnt taken LO into our library since he was about 5 months old and this boy of about 10 came up and stole my LO in his buggy

I was sat on the floor and was so shocked I quickily grabbed my buggy back and as i tired to take my LO away the boy grabbed my sons hand and made him punch himself in the face and when i stopped him doing this he poked my LO in the eye

SO

i have never visited the place since and dont intend to either

OMG how evil of a child! I wouldnt normally say things like this about kids but thats just something else. Awful experience. Where were his parents? Should I ask which town you live in?

I've never taken lo to the library, the central one is a mission to get to and the local ones are really small and pokey, we're always busy and I don't want to worry about going overdue or ruining books, we buy books for him all the time and he does similar things to what they run at groups the childminders takes him to.

I take Paige to rhyme time, but dont get books from there. She loves the rhyme time, but anytime I try and read a book to her, she snatches the book, puts it on the floor and stands on it... hoping in a few months she will enjoy reading them a bit more!
