Not been on for a while so-catch up at 21 months!

well actually 22 months on the 11th!

ok so my ruby has just astounded my this month her language has developed incredibly and she now puts up to 4 words together to say what shes feeling or wanting -mummy wearing glasses, socks 2 please etc etc

shes an incredible kid i feel so proud of her she lights up my day- even tho she still wakes every 2 hours and has now started the day at 6am!!!

i FINALLY got her off jars and onto table food around 2 months ago- at first she ate nothing but sausage and pizza but now she will eat a wider range of foods still not huge but getting there slowly-her favourite atm is pasta and pesto with either sausage or olives and cucumber. she still loves her fruit

shes still on the boob which i get the constant mick taken from drs friends my parents. but shes not ready to stop yet so il carry on

when asked what all the animals do she makes the sound when asked what mummy does she says "wee wees" !!!

not started potty training yet because im basically terrified!

after being ill since she was born im still struggling to get out the house the dizziness has subsided but now i feel faint when i leave the house- i still do every day and last week went out 5 times with ruby alone just to 4 doors down then back again-its a start!!!

and we booked our first family holiday to scotland in september. ruby will be 2 and 3 months so ive no idea how shell handle the 8 hour journey!!

hows everyone else?
xxxxx

Hiya hunnie. It sounds like Ruby is doing amazing! What a clever little princess you have. Ridiculous you are mocked for still breastfeeding She'll get there with her foods and dont worry about potty training, it says in my book most girls are ready between 2 and 2.5 years.

She will handle the journey okay, sure she will suprise you. Millie manages our drives back to the UK fine and that ranges between 12 and 18 hours! Try and see off in the evening so you're going through her night sleep, she'll sleep through it in the car, probs feel abit tired the next day but much easier.

xxx

Welcome back hun

Wow she sounds like shes doing great, you must be very proud.

Callums doing good, he makes towers up to 12 bricks now and knows all the areas of his body when asked. His words are coming on now and hes saying more then what he did before. We too haven't started potty training, hes not there yet I don't think, will probably try and start around 2 to 2 and a half. He loves animals at the minute and doing his flashcards. He also enjoys playing with trains and cars and loves to play football out in the garden xx

Hi,havent seen you for ages!Rubys hair is so long in your avatar pic, shes such a big girl now!
Its sounds like shes doing really well with her speech, ive noticed Owen is picking up a few new words every day now,its so nice to be able to have conversations isnt it.
Im still bf too and he has recently(within the last 3-4 weeks) started to sleep in his toddler bed for at least a couple of hours and sometimes rolls back there after feeding and goes straight back to sleep,so hes improving.

He has started to ask for weewees and has succeeded twice in going on the toilet so Im pretty impreesed as my older 2 werent interested till much older.

HI hun
It sounds as though Ruby is doing great, and yourself improving too

I shouldnt worry about potty training. She will hopefully let you know when she is ready.

And well done with the jars. I am sure it wasnt easy. Nothing worng with jars but obviously expensive and not "normal" food if you know what i mean! I have not tried sausages and pasta yet so may give that a try!

Hey, I remember you!
Sophie is 2 next week

Not potty training yet, like you I'm a bit scared, but I have got some pants ready. She proved this morning that she isnt ready - she said 'want wee wee' and headed to the downstairs loo, said 'nappy off' so I thought 'ok, see what happens'
She didnt wee (she pretended) then weed all over the floor!!
So not trying again yet.
She is talking lots! And last night said her longest sentence yet - she is obsessed with a new dolly (early b'day pressie off OH mum) and wanted it to go in the bath, and so I told OH to pop it in her cot until we had finished - she started crying and said
'tell daddy fetch my dolly back again'

I was so proud!!

Hey hun welcome back!!

Ruby sounds like she is doing great!

Still not using the potty here yet either. Evie was tell me she needs a poo and then ask for her nappy to be taken off but once I start to undress her she gets upset

Her newest thing now is 'no!'

EVERYTHING is no
