Yeah he is used to noise now. The issue is I can't leave him. If i swaddle and play white noise he just cries. Sometimes hes ok, yesterday he mapped amazing but today he's refusing. It's just hard as Aria is really unwell with a tummy bug and throwing up and Xander is not settling!

I think I will try the car seat as he does nap well in that!

It's only been since William wl go up into his cot for a nap away from Noah that he has started sleeping better for his nap. When he was smaller and in his Moses basket Noah used to purposely wake him up which used to drive me mad or he would naturally wake due to how nuch noise there always is Dow stairs! He still isn't a huge sleeper in the day though! Which doe make it tough!

My little guys are 13 months apart. When my now 1 year old was first born it was overwhelming. I always swaddled and gave him a pacifier. The swing was a little piece of heaven (cradle swing). It was really tuff the first couple months, but once wengot use to things, it became a lot more easier.

Does Aria still nap during the day? Is it worth for them both to go down at the same time?

I know it seems like a mission impossible at times, but how about getting up and taking them out in the morning. On the way back my two would usually sleep and that would give me 5 minutes of peace.

I also got into the habit of putting DS into bed during the day. Is it worth having the moses basket (if you have one) or swing at the side of you while you do something i.e. read with Aria until he nods off?

I usually take them both out. Aria has various groups she goes to but she's been really unwell. He naps amazing in the car!

Today was good and bad. Bad as i spent all day at casualty with aria and this bug...good because Xander napped allll day. No joke. He slept on my mum for hours as she watched him. Then on me the Paul and him slept for hours on the couch and I had to wake him at 8 for his bath. He's went down like a dream tonight as well (fingers crossed I haven't jinxed it as I'm shattered).

Aria is not a lie on the bed kinda toddler sadly! Haha. I sound like I have an answer for everything! She does nap. Usually once a day in the mornin. I've tried Xander then too but again he will sleep on me nowhere else. It's strange as he sleeps at night in his Moses and actually self settles!

Mine are just under 2 years apart and my daughter naps in my carrier as I am all over the place with my son - appointments, preschool, the park, walks, etc. If it wasn't for the carrier I don't know how I could have coped with both of them as my son is all over the place. He used to wake up my daughter with yelling and running around, but she is used to it now

Hey hun

Sorry to jump in but I just wanted to pinch some advice off you, I think you're doing pretty great!

Did you do anything to get Xander self-settling at night? I have been worried about this as naps will have to be in a sling/pram/arms etc. and was going to try feeding to sleep/white noise etc. as I don't have time to work on self-settling baby as toddler will be running around. I' m not fussed about about naps in the slightest as long as he doesn't get awfully overtired and I don't want all this holding, rocking to sleep etc. during the day to affect him at night! xx

P.S. Have you tried a cradle swing? I saw one at a Carboot yesterday for £25!
