I would correct them. People always pronounce Elias' name wrong, but my husband and I both correct them.

i would correct them it drives me mad when people call my son Mac its not spelt like that his name is Mckenzie!!!!! and people often spell his name wrong they put a little c and a captial K but its spelt all lower case after the M!!

I agree with the others, correct them. I am a teacher and have done this to students a few times, then found out that I have been calling them the wrong name for ages and they were too polite to say! I always feel really embarrassed about it. I have some students with Polish or Chinese names that are really hard to pronounce but I keep repeating them again and gain and again until I get it right!

yeah i would take the opportunity whilst LO is moving rooms.
i had such a long process picking a name. i wanted easy to pronounce, well known but not too common, only one popular way to spell it and i was particularly bothered about her being near the middle if her class was arranged alphabetically (don't ask why!?!? i think i was disturbed at watching the same poor kid always having to go first for his injections!) we settled on Poppy.

I agree. I would correct them, probably when she moves up rooms. As supertabby says, you can just say 'some staff' are pronouncing the name wrong and you don't want her to become confused.
