Kitchen in a bit and the cuttable food is brilliant, Aisling loves it Trike to go around the house in. Aisling and her cousin had a push along bird etc like this and they were massively popular, kept them amused for ages

Ben loves his trolley. It comes everywhere with us!
He also likes his play food, toaster, kettle and kitchen. I hope I've got a budding chef on my hands as I hate cooking!

Lego became very popular with Thomas at that age, he would play with it for ages.
Playdough with cutters and accessories to make it more interesting.
Chunky markers and colouring books.
Small (matchbox size) cars.
Apart from that he mainly preferred non-toys like the ones you describe.

My LO has the same taste in toys as yours; ignores anything electronic and is all over the dried beans/lentils, wooden spoon and mixing bowl! We get the most use out of crayons and the duplo at the moment, and think we'll invest in a wooden toy kitchen with the cuttable food for the 2nd birthday.
