I was wondering this too. Think I will end up buying a new small bottle for LO just in case last year's has deteriorated.

I would replace it but my skin doesn't do that great in the sun (always have to wear a high factor) so I'd worry my son was the same xx

I would also replace it as I would not want to risk skin damage to lo or myself and its one of the reasons I only buy small bottles, a few can have 18 months as the use by date so double check to make sure.

I only ever buy the maximum factors, so using last years isn't a problem. I read it loses half it's SPF per year, so my factor 50 from last year is now a factor 25 - ok for a spring day/if nothing else in. I have however since bought a new bottle (boots had it on half price) and I also need to get a new bottle for the kids - don't want my new LO catching the sun AT ALL so will have the factor 50 with me at all times.

Thanks for all your replies- very helpful!

I think I will just use it for me and get Lily a new one. I like the idea of buying small bottles each time.

The cream is probably still fine tbh- it's in a spray bottle so not much air could've got in. It's packed with preservatives and stabilisers too but I just don't know how the actual sun block has lasted.

Thanks again
