Maxi cosi Pearl vs Axis?

Hi ladies just wanted some advice on which of these to get... I am so confused!

The Axis seems really good and easy to get LO in and out of the car. It is really expensive though! Is it worth it?? Is it annoying that it doesn't fit with an isofix base and you have to strap it in with the seatbelt? Also, it looks really heavy, is it impossible to take it out of the car if you wanted to switch cars?

Also, we already have the familyfix base (which we're currently using with our cabriofix), so it would make more sense to get the Pearl, which fits directly onto the Isofix base. Does anyone have the Pearl and would they recommend it? Would you rather have one that rotated like the Axis? I'd imagine this would be easier the heavier your LO gets?

Thanks so much for your help

we ERF, so cant help you with the questions- but i have heard that the maxi cosi seats come up really small. 3 of my friends that have a maxi cosi seat (not sure which one) have all had to replace it by the time their LO's were 2, and they dont have overly big toddlers x

We have the pearl and have been really pleased with it. What is great are the 5 positions it goes in from sitting straight up to lying back - great for when your LO wants to nap in the car. The only negative about it is its not useable without the isofix - so if you wanted to use a hire car or put the seat in a family members car you can't if they dont have isofix
Hope this helps x

We have the Maxi-Cosi TOBI and are very pleased with it. We had the Pebble with the Family Fix base and had intended to get the Pearl. However, we have Baby No.2 on the way, due in July so have kept the car seat and base for baby. We wanted the Axis, but when we went to Mothercare, the lady who tried to fit it into our car (honda civic) was happy with the fitting and said she wouldn't be happy at all to sell it to us.

The Tobi is higher than most seats so my LO can nose out of the window. She's very comfortable in it. She is quite little, weighing nearly 20lbs at 15.5months! Its fitted with the seat belt and very easy to get in/out. Doesn't move at all once installed.

This might be another option for you.

I couldn't live without my axis! I got it because I've got a bit of a bad back and it's fab, my DH has a normal seat in his car and I really struggle to get my daughter in and out. Even my DH prefers using my car when he's taking our daughter out as it's so much easier to get her in and out.

Xx
