my 3 year old does my washing..

my 3 year old loves to help me so after watching me loads of times..
he told me to go away he then
..put the washing from the basket in the machine
..closed the door
..put the powder in the right bit
..then put some softener in.
..then pressed all the right buttons to put the washing machine going.

he was so happy with his self that as soon as he sees a basket of washing he will not let me go near the washing machine and tells me to go away till it's on....

any one elses likes helping out around the house...??

My neice is 2 1/2 and loves doing the hoovering, she figured out how to turn it on by about 18 months and pushes it round. She also does the polishing. She likes to play with the washer (opens door, puts things in, closes the door but then randomly presses the buttons. Luckily she's not strong enough to shut the door properly so it doesn't actually start).

Sounds like you have a great helper there, can I borrow him please?

My DS does the same! He loves to put clothes in and take them out of the washer and dryer, and likes to pretend to fold them! He also likes to dust and wipe up spills! Love my clean little man!

Thats so cute, my LO drags the washing out the machine all over the kitchen floor, so sort of defeats the object as i have to put it all on again! But bless her, she tries!

So cute! My LO fiddles with the machine all the time. I think he might have shrunk OHs work stuff by turning the dryer on by accident. Oops.

Poppy LOVES doing this, but I sit beside her on the floor now when she's loading or unloading the machine since that wee tot got an arm ripped off by a washing machine the other month! She holds the wee cup and i squeeze the gel in and she puts it in the drum too. also loves brushing up and cleans everything with babywipes!

Daisy loves to do the washing too! I often catch her filling it up with washing and turning the dial. Need to teach her to separate whites and colours next .
