Is there a natural way to make myself ovulate sooner?
My ovulation dates range from CD17-CD26 at the moment (cycle 5 presently). Does anyone have any recommendations of bringing ovulations foreward. My LP is still 14 days so no problem there. I just want to increase the number of cycles I have a year!!!! It also gets very boring having to wait 3-4 weeks to ovulate after AF and then another 2 weeks after that!!!!
Ive read about taking soy isoflavones like it was clomid, by taking it for 5 days in row at the beginning of your cycle. If that interests you just type it into google and you can read what they say about it. I tend to have irregular periods; so it's hard to predict when ovulation will be due too; no pattern once so ever. Therefore if I don't get that bfp this cycle I think I"m going to try the soy isoflavones next cycle.
Try Agnus castus/Vitex it makes you o earlier. Do a google search also search the boards there's loads on info on here. There's a thread in the TCC board called "AC excellent!" and the ladies on their all talk about their O day coming forward. Good luck x
I started taking Agnus castus/Vitex and Red Raspberry leaf this month as my cycles were LONG after going off BC. Yesterday on CD 15 I got a positive OPK test so it seems to be working already. Good Luck!
I would go with vitex also. Fertile-aid is a good mixture of vitex/raspberry leaf and few other fertility aids. I've heard a lot about soy/isoflavins also but you have to be careful with it. Some women ovulate late because high levels of estrogen supress FSH and the follicles/eggs grow slower. If you have high estrogen soy will make it worse, if you know your estrogen is fine then go for it!
I always O'd about CD 19-22 and the 2 months I used Fertile-aid I O'd sooner like CD 16 and 17. I stopped after that and went to prescribed meds but I might go back and try it for a few months. GL!
Thanks. I'm not going to take anything until I see a doctor. The thing is, I'm not sure my doctor will have any good advice. They'll prbably say to me go away come back when you've been TTC for a year!!!!
