Positive test , negative test . Light period .

HI . I TOOK THREE HPTs. ONE MONDAY . ( TOO EARLY ) SO I RETESTED TWICE . ONE ON A WEDNESDAY && ONE ON A THURSDAY . I TOOK BOTH OF THEM EARLY IN THE MORNING WITH MY FIRST URINE . THEY WERE POSITIVE . THEN , FRIDAY , I WENT TO THE CLINIC && THEY GAVE ME ONE ( AFTERNOON ) && IT CAME OUT NEGATIVE . MY TOM TOM WAS SUPPOSE TO COME ON THE 18TH BUT IT CAME TODAY ( 21ST ) . BUT MY PERIOD DOESN'T LOOK NORMAL . IT'S WAAAY LIGHTER THAN USUAL . WHAT COULD THAT POSSIBLY MEAN ? MY MOM HAD A PERIOD OR " BLEEDING " FOR THOSE WHO SAY YOU CAN'T GET YOUR PERIOD THROUGH PREGNANCY . HELP . PLEASE && THANK YOU IN ADVANCE . = )

Well my sisters friend had what she thought was her period for three months, needless to say she didn't know she was pg until the fourth month! not quite sure how that is poissble! But whatever!
The other thing is that if they did a urine test in the afternoon your hcg could have been too diluted.... OR you MAY have had what i have heard been called a chemical pg.... OR you MAY have mistaken an evap line for a positive test... You would have to ask your doc to be certain... maybe ask them to do a blood test?
I don't know what your tests looked like or what kind you used. So that makes it even more difficult.

I have never used those, but from what I have heard, the tests that use blue dye (clearblue Easy) tend to frequently have evap lines.... I would suggest using one that uses pink dye, such as first response..... many people have said that they get A LOT less evaps with those and other pink dye tests. I myself have only ever used first response and equate and I have never had an evap line on any of them. Just a suggestion.

Does sound like it could be a chemical pregnancy... apparently, up to 50% of early, early pregnancies end this way. Definitely test, and keep us updated! FX for you!

I have a friend who's period also only lasted 3 days and it was very light than usual she turned out to be pregnant and had a healthy pregnancy ... you should try and test again since it stopped...
