High, Soft, Closed, and... not pregnant? Help please...

Over the last little while, I've noticed some traditional pregnancy symptoms pop up in my everyday life. On a list of 10, I would probably have 7 or 8 of them. However, one symptom I thought couldn't be explained away. When checking my cervix, I noticed it was high, soft and closed. It's been that way for about a week now, even though all my at home tests were coming up negative.

Being sick of conflicting evidences, I decided to bite the bullet and get my blood test done today. It was negative.

I've always had very irregular cycles, so I don't have that milestone to fall back on. But if my carefully calculated hypothetical timeline is even remotely correct, my "missed period" should have been about two weeks ago.

My question is this: what could cause my current cervical position? Should I trust the science behind the test and move on? Or do I trust my instincts and pursue the matter?

Yeah, I had a few other common pregnancy symptoms. Nausea, swollen breasts and darkened areolas, heightened sense of smell, constipation (I know, tmi :S) food cravings, fatigue, and pretty bad mood swings. All that, and my body just feels .... different. I can't quite put my finger on why, but I know it does.

The only thing keeping me from being sure is those darn negative tests.

I've read that cervical position isn't very reliable as an indicator of pregnancy and can be different for each woman. Apparently it can also change based on how full your bowels are.

I'm also not an expert but that's the jist of everything I've read so far re: cp.

Best wishes for your !

I know it's unreliable if you don't have this symptom to say that you must not be pregnant, but I haven't been able to find any information one way or the other for if you do have this particular cp.

Thank you, for trying to help. I guess I'm just fighting for this possibility so hard because it's our last chance until Sept. 2012. Here's hoping....

I know how you feel...due to our business if we don't get pregnant by August we're going to have to stop trying until May or June 2012. Fingers X we both catch our eggies!
