Getting prego during AF???

Hey there everyone, newbie here.. I'm just curious... Can you really get prego during AF? My DH and I have been trying to conveive for a little over a yr now with no luck... I was on the depo shot for about 4 yrs off/on, but haven't been on anything since oct 2010... It took untill aug 2011 for my PD to finally regulate and now my cycle is any where from 29-31 days and AF usually lats about 3-5 days with light spotting on the final day... I sarted on sat (02/11/12) very light, we had sex last night (mon 02/12/12) heavier all day until this afternoon at about 1:00 when it became almost non-existant and has now stopped (although I will probably see spotting tomorrow)... So what I'm wondering is if I could get prego from this...?

It is possible, but not likely. If you have short cycles and OV shortly after AF, you could get pregnant. Sperm can live for up to 5 days inside the body (some people say up to 7 days). As a luteal phase is an average of 14 days, getting preggo on a 29-31 day cycle during AF is pretty unlikely as you'd OV anywhere from CD13 onwards.

I've heard the same. Agree with sapphire. It isn't super common, but it *can* happen. Guess just wait it out & test, test, test!

Ok.. Well I ended my period late this month with 3 days of spotting instead of just one like normal.. Could that possibly mean anything or is my extreme want for a baby causing my mind to make things up?

i had a scan and found out i was 14 weeks which meant i conceived on a period very strange!!!!

Hmm not sure. My AF always ends with very light days of spotting.
