THank you all for sharing your stories about clomid round 1 - I'm about to start too. Worried, pensive, stressed and still a little angry with my body for not 'going it's thang' naturally!

Now 15 months post-pill, cycles didn't start for 9 months, had 3 afs late last year but then nothing at all this year. Pill-induced PCOS, I think (before the pill you could time a clock by my af - 29 days!) Perhaps mad travelling overseas bunged me up?! Progesterone last week which has made me bloated, pms-y and feeling quite sorry for myself. Brought on the mildest af - still 'barely there', but am due to start clomid on saturday.

Have spent a lot of time taking traditional chinese medicine to get things happening - no more herbs for the moment (could interact with the heavy drugs!) but am still getting acupuncture weekly. LOVE it. What a balancer! Am now just going to have to give up the sugar, the wine (was on a strict 4 glasses per week!) and dairy to help alleviate the PCOS symptoms....

Curious but worried about how it's going to all pan out, so thanks for sharing - I'll keep checking back and keep you posted too - my baby wishes are with you all!! Good luck!

Would love to hear your updates and other ways you have negated some of the clomid side effects... x

I've been having some major hot flashes, I'll suddenly find myself completely damp head to toe, it's crazy...!
feeling hopeful right now, doc says I haven't o'd yet but everything is looking good. 2 dominant follicles 24mm and 18mm and post coital sample showed dh sperm good motility and quantity, it was amazing to look at it under the microscope! my baseline fsh was 7.8 and cd10 after clomid it dropped to 5.1 which is supposedly good. estrogen levels thru the roof
will continue testing with opks looking out for o~~~

Hi all!

This is my first post! My partner and I started the IUI route on March 6. Because I'm *ahem* ... "a little bit older" per my fertility doc ... 36 is older?? ha! ... he wanted to "stack the deck" for us so he started me on Clomid and I did that days 5-9. Via ultrasound, doc confirmed 2 follicles... one on each ovary. Then gave myself injection of Ovidrel on March 20, doc did the IUI on the 22 and as of midnight I will be 14 dpo and I'm anxious as all get out! GAH! If no af, I'll be testing on Sunday!

Like many, I didn't know what to expect with any of this and was just kinda along for the ride... figuring things out as we went along. The Clomid caused only one minor side effect and that was just some moodiness.

I know its been a while since i was on this thread... BUT even though im 6 pages late i would like to say that I am SUPER excited today because i got my first pos OPK this morning!!!!

I've been stressing thinking that clomid wasnt going to work. Every day i have to tell my OH that it was a no. And this morning i woke up at 4 am (I've been sick and coughing has been keeping me up) and i took the test and the test line was darker than the control!!!! My hubby sure did like waking up at 4 to hear the news haha!!

So this is just a positive post saying good luck ladies and baby dust to all!!!! keep your hopes up and fingers crossed that clomid is our miracle drug!!

I did ovulate on clomid, on cd15 as ff says.. (atleast sure cause of high temps) but its 10 dpo and still bfn... no symptoms other than a liile sore bbs.. but im highly irritable and weepy temp fell today morning (but well above coverline though) sooo tensed !!

I like how you shared that you were a little bit moody....I was SO moody and SO sensitive. My partner and I rarely argue...OMG! Last week was tough. I was so emotional and had absolutely NO patience for her...so thanks for sharing. I too took Clomid 100mg cd3-7. I'm going in for an ultrasound tomrorow to see if the follicles have matured...based on the last u/s I have one measuring 14.9mm...Hope they have matured since...

@fitmommy: I dont understand the follicle thing... my Dr. hasn't done anything like that but i'm just now able to go to a Dr. after 5 yrs. but i hope all is well! yes the clomid has made me VERY moody and i feel bad for the Mr. but i dont think it fazed him much. aside from whatever i gave him he gave back lol. I O'd on CD 13 or is it 14? one of those 2 days is today lol. I've never had a Pos. OPK so i couldnt be happier right now! GL to you and ill keep you in my thoughts!!

@bluepinkmom try not to stress... I know that is a lot to ask and you have probably heard it so much but it will be worth it in the end. even though you have gotten BFN there is still hope that things will work out. you are even showing some symptoms. Oh god i just realized that i still have 2 weeks after today and tomorrow... i think im gonna be sick! ok scratch the stress thing i just had it hit me hard. I'll be praying for you! after all that we've been through it will be worth it!!!

yeah... once we get to see those two beautiful elusive lines , all the stress will be worth it !!

haha i slept most of the day and during my nap I had the greatest dream!!! I dreamed that i was taking a pregnancy test and both those lines came up and the only thing i could do is go gangster and say "uh suck it!!!"

wondering if me being sick is what is causing the dreams but either way they are quite amusing!!!

I had a dream last night (I'm 5dpo) that I was working for a chinese gang and this rival gang (or people they owed money to) came to the petrol station for their money and started shooting. I was on the floor and a guy came up to shoot me but I started pleading with him saying "please don't shoot me, I'm pregnant" and he paused then ran off.
