Unusual spotting

Hi ladies!

Im currently on cycle day 9, and AF usually lasts exactly 5 days, without spotting. This time was the same, it was 'flowing' for 5 days, then stopped. But then on day 7 I started noticing really light brown spotting when I went to the toilet which is still there now....

The main reason I'm asking about this is because I had a faint line on a test my last cycle and I NEVER usually get spotting, certainly not on day 9. I do not think there is a chance I can be pregnant because it was a normal AF for me (not very heavy but it never usually is, roughly 10-12 tampons for 5 days) but I am just wondering if anyone else has had unusual spotting and what it has meant?

We're just 'going with the flow' hehe, this month, not bothering with OPKs just going to start BD the next couple of days.

Good luck to everyone TTC FX xxx

Sorry I dont know if I was clear before hehe, I tested a week ago before AF came, it came 10 dpo so I think I may have a luteal phase problem. Do you think I could still be prego even though I had bleeding? x

If your sure your not pregnant it sounds like breakthrough bleeding. I don't know much about luteal phase issues. The only time (once) I ever had breakthrough bleeding was on a longer than normal cycle.

I'm not 100% I guess I could take a HPT tomorrow to make sure but I always thought if AF (or what looks like AF) shows then you cant be preg? Could it be an early miscarage?

From what I knew about breakthrough bleeding is it not too do with birth control? I am not on any

Thanks x

Some people still bleed while pregnant although it's not really a period. I don't know how heavy it can be. Breakthrough bleeding is not always tied to birth control.

I will be honest here and say I won't be much help past my original post. I had 31+ cycles so I never experienced early bleeding, only late.

Just wondering if anyone could help? Now, I'm due on at the end of every month, I was 2 days late and I had light pink blood when I wiped after going for a wee & had no cramps. I'm normally very heavy from the start & in agonising pain with cramps. I'm not classing it as a period because I've never had a period like that before. I'm still tired, feel nausea sometimes through the day but never actually been sick. i actually had heartburn a few times last week, for the very first time in my lie!! Could I be pregnant??

The only way to know is test or have a doctor do blood work.

I don't symptom watch because everyone is different.
