First IUI on tuesday!

I am 34 and hd is 32. We have been trying for about 10 months and seems everything is good. Had hsg on last monday and it was clear and all other tests have been good. HD motility on SA was a little low. So i have to do the ovidrel inj on sunday and then go in on tuesday! I hope it goes well. Has anyone had any success with the IUI?

I just did an unmedicated IUI. The success rate for that is about the same as a normal cycle (20%) and injectables have a pretty good success rate. I did so much research on this and from what I've learned, it's really the luck of the draw. There have been people with terrible post wash counts that it worked for and people with awesome post wash counts who it didn't work for. They say that after 6 IUIs, 60-70% of people will be pregnant. Those are pretty good stats. I apologize for not having a success story myself, but just know that for unexplained infertility or slight MFI, IUIs are really good and have a decent success rate.

Good luck!

This was actually just my first one. We have been TTC for 18 months but just got started seeing the Dr in February. As soon as they found out about DHs sperm issues, they got me in right away for IUI because my chances without it were probably just 5-10% per month. Now it is 25% according to my Dr.

I also got an HSG this month which can increase the chances of pregnancy for 3 months. Right now, I feel completely normal. I've been having some cramping from the HSG I think since ovulation though. My DH keeps saying that any symptom probably means I'm pregnant. Lol. I didn't do Clomid only because I ovulate good on my own. I know a lot of people do medicated cycles because it can induce super ovulation but my Dr thinks it's better to do it naturally at first. We haven't really talked about the future but I think if it doesn't happen after a few IUI cycles, he will go for medicine. But I hope we don't get that far. I'm hoping the HSG+IUI works for us.

From what I've read, anything over 15mm probably has a mature egg in it. For medicated if you are doing trigger, they like to have it 17-19mm before the trigger and for unmedicated, they like it to be over 20mm. I'd say it should definitely get bigger before Tuesday so I'd say you're probably good to go. Hopefully it does result in a BFP for you.

My other IUI? If I don't get pregnant this month, I will be doing it sometime next month. With natural IUI, they only do 1 per cycle.
