I had spotting 2 days before af, the day before af heavy spotting, but was brown not blood so would not class as af. then get light to medium af then medium/heavy on 2nd day, then nothing today. this is freaking me out, i am normally on 4 days. should i count the day before as af, or is it just short, and is short normal? Im only 32 but googling brought up menaporse. i have not really had any of the other symptons, got a bit warm the day before af but thought that was just rushing to my bus stop to work lol i know tcc has made me border line hypacondriac but im normally a lot longer than this and dont know what to think, this happened to anyone else just randomly for a month

The same thing happened to me in November. I called my gyno and made an appt. She said that this just happens sometimes. I told her it hadn't happened to me once in 33 years. She kind of blew me off.

Anyway, the next month things were back to normal. So, even though it is disconcerting, count it as AF and proceed as normal. Implantation bleeding would not have been like you describe.

If you're still worried, take a test. Hope this helps!

Have you recently come off birth control. My OBGYN said this can happen for up to a year after BCP.

What kind of birth control were you on? I was on ortho tricylen lo. I stopped taking it in June of 2011 (10 months ago). I had asked my gyno if this would interfere with TTC. She said that you can get pregnant right away when you stop taking it. CAN being the operative word as I haven't. It can take some time for your system to go back to normal, but for me it really didn't. I have been pretty regular since I stopped taking it and I know I ovulate because my temps confirm it. So confusing...

Do you think there is anything else that bcp might be interfering with still after so many months? So we know WHY exactly it could interfere?

I have been off b c. for over a year and a half we had to stop trying as docs thought d h had testuicular cancer but didn't thank God. I know that b c can drain you of vitamin d and I have started taking supplements two months ago and my cycle is a lot better now it would in from 3 weeks to 6 to 5 but now it's more manageable I have also started taking vitamin b and evening primrose as I noticed since coming off b c it's not the same down there lol but apparently b c drain you of those vits and ya need them to ttc. at this stage I would give anything a shot and it was probably the vits working that changed my cycle this month. also I read other day that if you were on ivf you and dh would be on vit e. so we stared taking that to. hope this helps. I just don't want to have to go docs I would be worried there was something wrong but fingers crossed this is the month for us all . x
