Trying Preseed for the 1st time.

Got our order of preseed through the post this morning.
Bit nervous and im not sure why, nervous about doing it right. been reading the instuctions and it says to leave in for 15 before BDing. is this correct?

Last month i has a perfect 28 day cycle (im usually very irregular) at the docs on the 10th April to have my 21 day test doing again to see if i ovulate this month. if i dont i can go on Clomid.

Using opk's so i know when i ovulate, this will be my 2nd month using them. and we do the SMEP.

Would like to hear some of your tips for preseed or any other tips i can do to help me concieve.

Been trying 2 years now but feeling more possitive than ever

to everyone

I got my 1st lot of preseed through the post yday and am going to start using it probably at the end of this week.
I also read to put it in about 15 mins before so it can soak up or something? but it think I also read you could put it in about an hour before but not sure on that as haven't got the packet here.
I'm also abit nervous about using it, and it is also my 1st month using OPKs and I will be trying the SMEP
Good luck

I bought Preseed last month. I usually leave it in about 20 mins before we start to BD.

I only have two pieces of advice - because I did it totally wrong the first two times I used it. First, don't use too much. I filled the applicator to 3 g's and it was WAY too much. It was like a slip and slide down there and OH could barely get the job done because it was just getting really crazy. I used between 1 and 2 g's last night and that was just enough. Second, when you're insert the applicator and are actually putting the preseed in you, do it slowly. For whatever reason, I did it super quick and it went everywhere...FAST.

Good luck!!

Thanks for all your replies im glad to know im not the only one who is nervous.
Gonna try it tonight as a test when we bd. Then use it on my ovulation days.
When i put the preseed in shall i do it laying down and keep it in there? or shall i do it stood up and then carry on as normal for a bit?
I thought that 3g seemed too much so i will use about 1-2g
Thanks again for the responses the forum is sooo good
to all

i used preseed last month and you can stand up when putting it in. and yes 1 - 2g is just enough!!

i put mine in an hour before once. nothing leaked and that time i think i used 3g.. but push it as close to the cervix as possible and dont move the applicator down when pressing the preseed in. remove it afer everything is inserted.

your own cm is still important but whats great about preseed is it makes the vagina more alkaline which is what you need. once the spermies travel into the cervix they will meet your fertile cm and has a better chance at surviving!!

good luck and surely hope you get lucky the first month!! i will be using it again this month!!

used preseed last night, as a test. used 1g and waited about 15 mins, had no leakage, but i worried that it didnt go right up, OH did it, so next time im gonna put it in myself so i can feel whats goin on
we found it abit awkward but good as a test
Think im gonna put in 2g next time as we both felt that 1g wasnt enough
Gonna use it on the days when i get my LH surge, which last month was cd13. im on cd9 today.
Thanks for all your answers girls it has helped alot
to everyone
