I COULD get away with it though - I am a photographer and do a lot of newborn portraiture so I could use it as an excuse that it's a 'prop'. haha.

ASIDE: I do a lot of weddings and THREE of my brides from 2011 are expecting!

I have been tempted but never have. I feel like I'm trying to fake it you know? Like I would be a fraud for buying it. Although I started a baby quilt for some one and took it to a class. Long story short the teacher told me I couldn't give it away that I had to keep it for myself. So it sits in a box almost finished. I've been to afraid to work on it. But we've been ttc about 12 cycles now and it's become discouraging.

I am going to be honest. Last week I purchased 2 jumpsuits and 3 toys. I feel really guilty because I havnt told my husband. They are in a box in the cupboard. I dont think theres anything wrong with it, after all we are planning to have a baby....

You're not at all crazy. I'm working at a school right now so I've been ordering TONS of books from the book orders. They are so much cheaper and I may not get a school position in our next community. My dh thinks it's a little insane, but he gets that it helps with the ttc process so he's letting the book buying slide. Lol

I never thought about it. But I would like to start accumulating stuff. I think I would be to nervous though thinking I would jinx myself!

Maybe to make myelf feel better, I will just buy something small...like a pair of socks or a beanie....lol

Your responses will either confirm that I am crazy, or I'll be happy to know I'm not the only one.
You are not crazy! I do the same thing....ive picked up onesies and pacifiers and stuff like that...things that arent going to break or be out of safety code or whatever by the time i do finally get pregnant

books are a great idea i think i might start buying some, i have a few baby things but i dont want to buy too much as we both have very big families and will prob get most of what we need from our showers. so i think ill start buying some books, usually not something you get at a shower, what a great idea!!!!!!!!

I don't think I could actually start buying things until I'm well into pregnancy. I'd be too scared that I'd either jinx it or that I'd get told it's just not going to happen and I'd have to get rid of it all.
